Section D - Achievements and perfomiance Summary ofthe main achievements of the charity during the year Raised pubfic awareness of". 1. Need for conservation of African Painted Dogs, their environment and other wildlife with which they interact. 2. The need to defeat poaching. 3. The need to involve local people in conservation efforts particularly through the education of local school children. This is achieved by presentatiDns at schools, fairs and local community organisations. Unfortunatety, overall donations have seen a sharp decline this year compared to last year. This is largely the resuft of a couple of large one off donations not being received this year. Again. we are very grateful for another very generous donatj'on from The Dashlight Foundation. Sales of artwork from Zimbabwe held up well again, raising nearly £10,000 from this source. We are concentrating now on getting more volunteers to help out at events when this artwork can be sold and also considering other means of raising fvnding. Section E - Flnancial Review Brief ststement of the chaiity's policy on reseN8s We keep sufficient reserves to meet unexpectedlemergency funding requirements e.g. Anti-Rabies vaccinations for domestic dogs in the areas around the Zimbabwe ProjeGUspare parts for project vehicleslanti-poachlng patrols.
