## **Trustees Annual Report 2021 - 2022** Our objectives are to bring people together to create strong, friendly, active, and resilient communities where crime and anti-social behaviour are less likely to happen. - Promoting good citizenship, community safety and greater public participation in the prevention and detection of crime. In particular supporting those who may feel afraid, vulnerable, or isolated in the place where they live. - Providing the structure and resources to inspire stronger, friendlier, and more resilient communities where people come together with a shared goal, increasing their collaborative engagement which in turn improves their social atmosphere and community spirit. - Enabling more effective liaison between the community and the Police. To achieve these objectives we actively encourage and support communities to create a Neighbourhood Watch and or other types of watch schemes for example Farm Watch, Heritage Watch, Faith Watch and Feel Safe Schemes. We have received grant funding from two city councils to work with Local Authority Safer Communities projects setting up new Neighbourhood Watch and Feel Safe Schemes. We have approx. 5,500 Watch coordinators across Devon and Cornwall each with a scheme membership ranging from 10 – 200 households.
