**and provides opportunities for children**
**and adults to experience sporting and**
**recreational activity outside of their every**
**day lives. Riders range in age from 4**
**years to 65 years and there is a good**
**gender and ethnic balance amongst**
**participants. In the reporting period there**
**were 39 riders, comprising 17 children**
**and 22 adults. Volunteer numbers for the**
**reporting period are 30. These are**
**generally able bodied adults who care for**
**the horses, support rising sessions and**
**coach riders for competitions. The**
**number of sessions delivered was 326.**
**This number was affected by the**
**restriction imposed by Covid 19. (In the**
**period 2018-2019 the number of sessions**
**delivered was 730). The period under**
**review was affected by the second wave**
**of Covid and this restricted the number of**
**riders/volunteers on the premises and the**
**level of community activity or the group.**
**High Hopes lost a number of bigger**
**organisations for example; Special**
**schools, who had previously sent larger**
**groups of riders to participate during**
