**Objects:** THE OBJECT OF THE BAND SHALL BE TO PROMOTE, IMPROVE DEVELOP AND MAINTAIN PUBLIC EDUCATION IN AND APPRECIATION OF THE ART AND SCIENCE OF BRASS BAND MUSIC IN ALL ITS ASPECTS BY: A) THE PRESENTATION OF PUBLIC PERFORMANCES, THEREBY MAINTAINING THE TRADITION OF BRASS BAND MUSIC IN PANGBOURNE AND DISTRICT AND REPRESENTING THAT TRADITION ELSEWHERE IN BRITAIN AND OVERSEAS; B) PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY FOR MUSICIANS AND ASPIRING MUSICIANS IN THE AREA TO MEET AND TO MAKE MUSIC; C) PROVIDING TRAINING AND INSTRUMENTS FOR THOSE IN THE AREA WHO WISH TO BECOME MUSICIANS; D) ENCOURAGING ASPIRING COMPOSERS AND ARRANGERS OF BRASS BAND MUSIC BY REHEARSING AND PUBLICLY PERFORMING THEIR WORKS.

**Activities:** We are a traditional village brass band. We aim to promote, improve, develop and maintain public education and appreciation of traditional and new brass band music. We perform publicly at fetes, concerts, in churches, public houses and functions. We provide opportunities for musicians to meet, borrow instruments and receive professional training and we encourage composers and arrangers by rehearsi
