**Objects:** THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND, IN PARTICULAR, THE EDUCATION OF OLDER PEOPLE AND THOSE WHO ARE RETIRED FROM FULL TIME WORK, BY ALL MEANS INCLUDING ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES CONDUCIVE TO LEARNING AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT.

**Activities:** Carlisle & District U3A organises, promotes and provides lifelong learning opportunities for its members, and is for   anyone, immaterial of age, who is no longer in full-time employment. The U3A operates within about a 15 mile radius of Carlisle. The U3A is an unincorporated member of the Third Age Trust.
