ROTARY CLUB OF BURNHAM BEECHES TRUST FUND

Trustees Report for the year ending 30 June 2025

Structure, governance and management: The Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches Trust Fund was established by a Declaration of Trust dated 31st August 1993 and becamea registered charity on 6th January 1999. The Club has the power by resolution to nominate the persons to be appointed new Trustees. During the year to 30 June 2025 no changes to Trustees were made.

Objectives and activities:

The objectives of the charity are the relief of the poor and needy and such other charitable institutions, societies and objectives as the Club shall, in duly constituted meeting, from time to time direct. Funds are raised by the members of the Club in various ways and disbursed to beneficiaries recommended by the Club’s committees and membership.

The main activity undertaken for the public benefit in relation to the Charity’s objectives is the making of Grants. The Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charities Commission on public benefit and confirms that the Charity continues to meet the criteria.

Achievements and Performance

The Charity paid out £26,390 in grants and donations during the period. These grants covered a wide range of worthy causes as disclosed in the accounts in response to both immediate and longer term needs locally, nationally and internationally.

The Club’s regular fund-raising activities and Collections alongside donations and raffles raised £36,271.

During the year we continued to rent a garage for the long-term storage of our Club assets relating to fund-raising activities and used disability aids collected on behalf of PhysioNet for distribution worldwide.

Financial Review

The Trust maintains a modest reserve fund at CAF Bank Limited, enabling swift response to deserving crisis situations should they arise. The reserve has increased during the year and remains sufficient to meet its objects.

No income or benefit is paid to any member or Trustee.
