Minutes of the 2022 AGM
The minutes were agreed as being a true record and signed by the Chair. There were no matters arising.
Chairperson’s report.
The Chair thanked the retiring Committee for all the hard work during the last year. It had been a challenge returning the Hall back to full working following the lock down period. Sufficient funds have been raised by a variety of regular and one time events. Including a Gardening Club, Craft Group and Keep Fit classes. Due to the closure of the Village Church a Carol Service was held at the Hall in December. Work has been done to make improvements. New curtains and blinds fitted in the main hall to replace the 25 year old items.
The Chair talked about the possible future Nuclear Waste storage that is proposed for the dismantled Theddlethorpe Gas Terminal, this would be ongoing for quite a while.
The Committee has been successful in obtaining a grant from the Nuclear Waste Fund to build a children’s play area on the Hall playing field. It is hoped that this will be completed by Easter 2024.
As it is the 25th anniversary of the Village Hall it is proposed to hold a Ceilidh and supper as a celebration.
Treasurer’s report.
The treasurer submitted full audited accounts.
Any other business.
No items were submitted.
