Activities
The charity provides recreational services to the elderly and young people from different ethnic background in an effort to bridge the age gap and culture between both.They also facilitates the provision of medical care for members of the organisation.
Objects: (1) For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of The London Area And In Particular For The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Thornton Heath And The Surrounding Area In The Borough Of Croydon, Especially Those Inhabitants Who Are African Caribbean Or Of African Caribbean Descent Without Distinction Of Sex, Political, Religious Or Other Opinions To Associate Together The Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And The Said Inhabitants In A Common Effort To Advance Education For The Said Inhabitants. (2) To Establish Or To Secure The Establishment Of A Community Centre (Hereinafter Called "The Centre".) To Maintain And Manage, Or To Co-Operate With Any Local Statutory Authority With The Maintenance And Management Of The Centre, For Activities Promoted By The Association And Its Constituent Bodies In Furtherance Of The Above Aims And Objects.(3) For The Relief Of The Inhabitants Of Thornton Heath Who Are African Caribbean Or Of African Caribbean Decent That Are In Hardship Because Of Poverty, Poor Health Or Old Age.
