The British Friends of the Gibraltar Kollel is constituted by Deed of Trnst dated I l December 1997
and is a tegisteicd ch￿lty since 2 October 1998.
The charitable objectives of the charity are to advance education in the Jewish faith by assisting
young men to become R2bbis, to provide support for Jewish educ2tion in schools, to advance
rehy'ous activities in synagogues and for the relief of poverty.

Review of progtess and achievements
The charity commenced its work on 2 Octobei 1998 and the trustees are satisfied with the resuLts to
date.
Review of financial activities
The charity 2chieved a total income from donations of £87,384 2nd from bank interest of £664.
Donations towards the above objectives were £86,664 and there were no other expenses.
general ￿lld catried forward at the year end was £27,725 and included a surplus of £1,384 for the
year.

FRIENDS OF THE GIBRALTAR KOLLEL.
I report on the accounts ol die ch2rity for the year ended 30 September 2024, which set out on
page 5 and 6.
Respective tesponsibilities of trustees and examinet
The charity's trustees are responsible Eor the prepatation of the 2ccounts. The charity's trustees
considet that an 2udit ts not required for this year under section 144 (2) of the Charities Act 2011
(the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination Is needed. It ts my responsibihty to:
examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 ACL
to follow the procedutes laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission
(under section 145(5) (b) of the 2011 Act, and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of independent examinets teport
My examination was carried out in accoidance vjith general Directions given by the Charity
Conunission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also indudes consideration of any
unusu21 items or disclosures in the accounts, and seekmg explanations from the trustees concerning
any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be tequited
in an audit, and consequently no opinion ts given as to whether the accounts present 2 'trne and fair,
view and the report is Jimited to those matters set out in the statement bdow.
Independent examinees statement
In connection with my examination, no matter has come to my attention:
whLch gives me reasonable cause to believe that in, any material respec¢ the tequitements:
to keep accounting recotds in 2ccord2nce with section 130 of the 2011 Act; and
to ptepare accounts whtch accotd with the accouniing records and comply with the
accounting requirements of thc 2011 Act have not been met. or
2. to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of
the accounts to be reached.

Notes to the Accounts - Accounting policies
Statement of accounting policies
The following accounting pohcies have been applied consistendy in dealmg with items which 2re
consideied matertal in re12tion to the financial statements.
Basis of ptepatatio
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the Staternent ofRecommeKded Prarlice (the
SORP) and in accordance with applicable Accounting Standatds.
Basis of accounting
The financial statements are prepared in accordance with the hi8tOriC21 cost convention.
Recognition of income
Income donations is teeogtiised in the period for which it is teceived.
All income from short-term deposits is creilited to the income and expelldit￿e account in the period iii
which it is eamed.
Foreign cutrency translation
Transactions denominated in Eoreign currencies ate recorded using the rate of exchange ruling at the date
of the transaction.
onetary assets and liabilities denominated in foreign cuttencies ate translated at the
rates of exchange rLdLng at the end of the financi21 period with all resulting exchange differences being
taken to the income 2nd expenditure account in the period in which they atise.
Taxation
The Charity is a registered charity alld accordingly is exempt from tax2ti0n.
Liquid resources
Liquid reSoU￿eS iiiclude sums on short-terni deposits with recognised banks and building societies.
