## **BETTWS Y CRWYN PARISH HALL ACCOUNTS**

## **FOR YEAR ENDING 30TH JUNE, 2025**

## **N O T E S TO THE ACCOUNTS**

1 We have managed not to touch the savings account this year. The pub nights have kept us solvent.

2 We had a treasure hunt as a new fundraiser which was fun and no one got lost and raised £121. The quiz and the 100 Club were very well supported and generated a total of £625.50 for the church and for the hall. 3 We had only one film this year as the hall was closed while it had no flooring! In fact it was a big earthen hole under the old floor boards and was a miracle no one had gone through the old floor as the supports were quite rotten! The film was The Nettle Dress and was an education! And made £78.

4 The Pop Up Pubs continue to be a great success as a social gathering and as a regular income for the hall. The net profit for the year is £3414.06 which equates to a profit each 4 weeks of around £300. This is needed as we do spend very regularly too! George Troth has produced some wonderful dishes on the months that he does the cooking. We continue to serve hot dogs and burgers on our months. We are very grateful to the Troth family for their support and hope George continues with his catering. He is very talented.

5 We received a Windfarm grant of £19329.62 to cover the cost of a new completely refurbished floor. The old stage was removed was removed and the floor rebuilt to match the old parquet flooring. Jonny and Simon did the most amazing job and our hall now looks so smart - and large.

6 We received a donation of £60 in memory of Dorothy Gough and it was decided to honour both Dorothy and Glethlyn Gough. Both ladies had been very involved in the parish hall and therefore we planted two Olivia standard roses in the hall border.

7 The electricity bills are all incorrect! From day 1 it was obvious that the meter was not working properly. We have been contacting SSE regularly, sending in readings and eventually on 15th July Andy told us the bills were being sent from our old meter - that is not even on the premises and was disconnected in April 2024. An 8 engineer is to come out and change it but as of 1st September noone has come, except to read the meter and agree it is not working. Our account is on hold as we said we would not pay anything more until the meter was replaced.
