malntalned and sustalned the actlvllles we provlde In Romanla whlle streiigthenlng our relatlonshlp wlth
supporters here In the Unlted Kln8dom.
We have been blessed wlth falthful supporters and s18nllkant 8r3nts, whlch, along wlth the Romanlan
fundralslng operatlon. have enabled our work to contlnue In Romanla and Ukralne.
Due to the economlc ￿tUatIOn In the UK and the war In Ukralne, our operatlons and work have been
Imparted. As a charfty, our prlmary objects remalned the same, wlth both projects contlnulng to provlde
efflclent and effectlve care throughout thls challen8lNa year. Namely Casa Lumlna and Hosp1￿ Lumlna:
￿L￿Ina our resldentlal home for Ilfe for 23 speclal needs young adults In Comanestl Rornanla.
We are pleased that ca￿ Lumlna contlnues to malntaln hlgh levels of Indlvlduallsed care and
development.
Lumlna the multkllsdpllnary hosplce/palllatlve cafe seThlce for thlldren and young adults In
Bacau. Romanla. Thls project serves, Bacau County and the three surroundln8 countles of Vasalul,
Neamts and Vrancea and wovldes for 120 chlldren and young adults each month. Throughout the year
ending 31 March 2025, there has been contlnued provlslon, In Ilne wlth the Romanlan health seThlce
guldance and laws.
The need for suth servlces contlnues to grow In thls reglon and beyond and we hope to expand the
servlce5 fvrther In the near future wlth the help of our Romanlan partner Asoclatla Lumlna. Thelr
dlrector, Mlhaela Dumltrache has secured grants for Innovatfve work at the hosplce and wlthln the
communlty of Bxau. Creatlve projects for chlldren and thelr parents and some local communlty
campal8ns about dI￿bIlIty.

the actlv5tles of the chadty and thls has been essentlal In provklln8 valuable Ifi￿me as well as,
powerful experlence of the compasslonate care that Is at the heart of Cry In The Darvs obJectSves.
Volunteers throu8hout the year have also helped wlth the Ukralnlan summer camp, whlch welcomed 2
groups of Ukfalnlan chlldren to partklpate In our summer hollday camp In Romanla.
The UK Chrfstmas volunteers who stayed at Casa Albert helped dlstrlbute over 500 Chrlstmas shoeboxes
In Romanla and provlded essentlal ald to a Ukralnlan orphana8e.
lÉrtt*ls our outreach project to a rural Roma vlllage In Bacau County and Is home to over ICQO
children and around 2(M) famllles,
We have been workln8 there for over ten years and have establlshed a strong worklng relatlon5hlp wlth
the chlldren and the adults In thls commun5ty. Thls Chrlstmas, we enjoyed a wonderful mornlng of
Chrlstmas actlvltles wlth the chlldren and thelr famllles,
In March 2025, Cry In the Dark ran a fundralsln8 event In the whSch saw 12
volunteers cycle from los Angeles to Las Vegas, vla Death Valley. Thls was a hugely successful event for
Cry In the Dark, and we are so 8rateful for the support the rlders recelved.
