Basis (rf preparing the finan<lal ststements
The financial ststements of the chartty. which is a public ￿￿errt entity under FRS 102. have been prepared in
accordance wth the Charities SORP IFRS 1021 'Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance wrth the Financral Reporting Standard

The Flnancial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland, and the Charities Act 2011. The
financial Statements have been prepared under the historical tostconvention, on a cash basis. ThTrs is allowed for
charity of this size. See also note 2.
Income
All income is recognised In the Statement of Financial Activities as it is receNed. This represents 3 change in policv
in 2021, as previously income was recognised once the charity had entitlement to the funds. it vms probable that
the income would be receNed and the arnount could ￿ measured reliablv.
Expendltu¥e
Liabilrties are retognised as expenditure as they are paid. This represents è change in policy in 2021. as previously
expenditure was recognised in the FTrnaTrcial Statements as soon as there was a legal OT constructive obligation
tommitting the charity to that expendlture. it was probable that a transfer of ecaTromic beneffts would be required
in settlement and the amount of the obligation could be measured reliabfy. E¥penditure is now actounted for on
tash basis and has been dassified under headin£s that ￿reEate all cost related to the cate£ory. Where costs
cannot be dirertly attributed to particular headFngs they have been allocated to actiirities on a basis consistent with
the use of resource
Taxation
The charity is exempt from tax on rts charitable activities.

The charity operates 3 defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the charity's
Pension scheme are char8ed to the Statement of Financial Activities the Fer1￿ to which they relate.
