## **REPORT OF THE TRUSTEES for the year ended 30 June 2022** 

## **OBJECTS** 

The Charity was constituted by a Deed of Trust dated 29[th] May 1998 and is registered for the following purposes : 

- a) the relief of poverty and human suffering and distress, 

- b) the advancement of education, 

- c) the advancement of religion, 

- d) other purposes beneficial to the community and public interest. 

## **ACTIVITY** 

During the year covered by this Report the Fund’s financial highlights were :

During the year 5 stocks were sold; and £102,299 was invested, improving the quality of the portfolio; the total distributions from investments increased by 20.2% and the Trustees resolved to increase most of the regular grants and donations to worthy causes, at a rate higher than inflation once again. 4 one-off  donations were made: there were 4 in the previous year. 

The Trustees confirm that they have complied with the duty in section 4 of the Charities Act 2006 to have due regard to public benefit guidance published by the Charity Commission, in determining those charities to which grants are made. 

## **TRUSTEES** 

The Trustees who served during the year were : 

J E Donovan     M B Donovan       T M Townsend   and      M G Donovan 

The minimum number of trustees is two.  The present trustees were appointed at the formation of the Trust in May 1998; appointments and re-appointments are made in accordance with the Trust Deed, and present terms of office are four years. 

Mr J E Donovan held office until 19 May 2022, when he was re-appointed for a further period of 4 years. The attached Statement of Financial Activities and Balance Sheet have been approved by the Trustees.

The D•ndy Ch4ritable Trust
I report on the accounts of The Trust for the year ended 30th June 2022. which are set out on
pages 2 to 4.
Respeetive responsibilities of Trustee5 and Exsmlner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the a￿ountS. The charity's trwstees
consider that an audit ts not required for this year under section 144 (2) of the Charities Act 2011
(the 2011 Act) and that an independent examination is needed.

Examine the accounts under section 145 of the 2011 Act
To follow the procedures laid down in the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission under section 145(5Kb) of the 2011 Act. and
To state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of Independent Examitier's Report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general Directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity
and a wmparison of the accounts presented with those ￿OrdS. It also includes consideration
of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations frorn you as
trustees conceming any such matters. The prO¢￿￿reS undertaken do not provide all the evidence
that would be required in an audiL and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the
accounts present a 'true and fair view, and the rerKIrt is limiled to those rnatte￿ set out in the
statement below.
