Th8 wheelchalrs that we provlde Can vary In cost from £3.000 to £10,000. dependlng on the cllnlcal need ol

A¢cesslblllty: whether or not they need ramps, whether there Is sultable access Into and around Ihelr home:
any problems with narrow passages and lurnlng polnts Into rooms and whether there Is suitable storage and

Cllnlcal conslderatlons: does the appllcant have postural problems, skSn trauma, complex medical

provlslon of mobllity equipment.
REVIEW OF THE PERIOD: During th9 year the charity has seen an Increase In the number of Inltlal online
enquiries and applications received with a steady overall workftow malnlained throughout the period. The team
has remained unchanged: however, tha charity has successfully Iransilioned back to full-time office-based
working, supportlng collabor8llon, efflclency, 8nd consistency in service delivery.
As In prevlous years. the charlly has continued lo provide a hlgh level of support to applicants. including
assessment, fundraising. provision of equipment, and guidance on accessing alternative services and meeting
access and storage requirements. The charity has maintained strong relationships with suppliers and seating
professionals across the UK to ensur6 appropriate equipment solutions are identified for each case.
During the perf¢Jd, rising equipment and supplier costs have impacted the overall timeframe requlred to
complete individval funding cases. While this has resulted in longer completion limes in some in5tan¢es, careful
management of resources has ensured that applications continue to be processed effectively and charity funds
are used responsibly. We remaln focused on balancing Increasing demand with rising costs while continuing to
maximise the impact of funds available to support beneficiarie5.
