Our aims
The objects of the charity are set out in the Charity's tru￿ deed and are suinmarised as follows..
To advance the Islamic faith in the Wandsworth area for the benefit of the publi¢ in particu12T through th¢ holding of
prayer meetings, lectui'es, the public eelebration of r¢ligious festivals and the dislribulÉon of li¢ei?tur¢ on the IslaTni
faith to enlighten others.
I'o advance the education of, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for leisure-titne uccupalion with
the objective of improving the conditions of life for all r¢S￿dents of Wandsworth and the neighbourhoud by the
provision, maintenance and Inanag¢ment of a community centre.
Our obje¢tives
Our objectives are set to reflect our faith and ¢otninunity alllls. Each year ou¥ trustees review our objectives and activities to
ensiire thEy continu¢ to reflect our allns. In carrying out this review the trtjstees have considered the Charity Cominission's
general guidallce on public b¢nefit and in particular its supplementary public guidance the adyancement of religion for
the public benefit.
Our dual aiins remain to proYÉde a facility where Muslims eat) worship and to provide a community facility for all the
inhabitants of Wand5WOlth. Oui. long-terill ambition is to build the self.confidence of Wandsworth's Muslsms in their faith,
and through our comilluDity facilities and activities help make our area a peace￿1, vibrdnt and hamoniolls comfftuttity.
Strategles
We want to Inake our Mosque accessibl¢ and welcoining venue where all Muslims, or those who wish to know mor¢
about our faith, can gather together lo learn about their religion and worship. We are also fortunate to have facElities foi.
women who want to pray at the Mosque. The Mosque is open for all five daily prayers, the Friday prayer5 beKng a focus of
our a¢tiYities.
At our'know Islam better, events we share the teachings of Islam and the naMre of our faith with non-muslims. In ttddition,
we invite congregations from all the local faith tsroups and 5¢hools to visit us and learn more about Islam.
An important part of our faith is charitable giving, accorditjg to one's wealth, it] awoTdan¢e with Islam and we are pleased
to receive Zak2t for th¢ sol¢ purpose of the relief of need and financial hardship of Muslims who have insufficient money to
covei. their basie n¢eds for sh¢lt¢r. food, clothing, or who are destitute with no tneans of 5UPPOrt.

The cliarity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. Th¢ charity's trustees consider that an
audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (th¢ 2011 Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.

ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Going concern
The trustees consider the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for
the foreseeable future, incliiding th¢ next 12 months from the date of signing Ihese financial
statements, they also consider that the aforementioned iEsourees enable th¢ Charity to meet its
obligations and debt as they fd'11 due. Accordingly, the financial statements have been preparcd
on the going concern basis.
Income
All income is recognised once th¢ Chaiity has entitlement to it, and it is probable that income
will be Teceived and that it can be reliably measured.
CraThts and donations
Grants and donations are only included in th¢ SOFA when the charity has unconditional
entitlement to the resources.
Tax reelaims on donations and gifts
Incoming resources from tax iEclaims are included in the SOFA at the time as the gkft to which
they relate.
Liability reeognition
Liabilities al'e r¢cognised as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committiThg the
charity to pay out resources.
