Our aim$
The objects of the charity are set out In the charity's trust deed and are summarised as follows:
To advance the Islainic faith in the Wandsworth area for the benefit of the public in particular through the holding of
prayer meetings, lectures, the public ¢elebration of religious festivals and the dlstribution of literature OD the Islamic
faith to enlighten others.
To advance the education of, and to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for leisure-time occupation with
the objective of improving the conditions of life for all residents of Wandsworth and the neighbourhood by ihe
provision. maintenance and inanagement of a community centre.
Our objectives
Our objectives are set to reflect our faith and cominunity aims. Each year our trustees review our objectives and activitie5 to
ensure they conlinue to reflect our aims. In carrying out this review the trustees have considered the Chai'ity CoiThnission's
general guidance on publi¢ b¢n¢fit and in particular its suppleinentary public guidance on the advancement of religion for
the public benefit.
Our dual auns remain to provide a facility where Muslims can worship and to provide a cominunity facility for all the
irthabitants of Wandswoith. Our long-tcrm iimbition is to build Ihe self-confidenc¢ of Wandsworth's Muslims in their faith,
and thi'ough our coinmunity facilitics and d¢tiviti¢s help make our area a peaceful, vibrant and hannonious Community.
Strategles
We want to make our Mosque an accessible and welcoming venue where all Muslims, or those who wish to know more
about our faith, can gather logeiher to learn about their religion and worship. We are also fortunate to have facilities for
women who want to pray at the Mosqu¢. The Mosque is open for all five daily prayers, the Friday prayers being a focus of
our activities.
At our 'know Islam better, events we share the teachings of Islam and the nature of our faith with non-muslims. In addition
we illvite congregations froFll all the local faith groups and schools to visit us and learn more about Islam.
An important part of our faith is charitable giving, according to one's wealth. in accordance with Islam and we are pleased
to receive Zakat for the sole purpose of the relief of need and fmancial hardship of Muslims who have Insufficient money to
cover their basic needs for sh¢lter, food, clothing, or who are destitute with no means of support.

community, Muslirn and non-muslun alike. Our activities are free and supported by donations oi grant funding.
Helping people who have Inoved to Wandsworth settle into tlie community successfvlly is important lo us. Their children

We report on the accounts of the Charity Trust for the year ended 30 April 2024 which are set out on pages 4 to

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. Thc charity's trustees consider that an
audit is not required for this year under section 144(2) of the Charities Act 2011 (the 2011 Act) and that an
independent examination is needed.
It is our responsibility to..
examine the accounts under section 145 of the Charities Act 2011
to follow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission under
section 145(5)b of the 2011 Act and
to state whether particular matters have Come to our attention.
Basis of independeDt examiner's report
Our examination was carried out ili accordance with the General Directions given by tlie Chai'ity Commission.
An examination includes a review of the accountiiig records kept by the charity and a comparison of the
accounts presented with those records. It also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in ihe
accounts and seeking explanations from the trustees concerning any such matters. Tlie procedures undertaken do
not provide all the evidence tliat would be required in an audit, and consequently no opinion is given as to
wlieth¢i' the accounts PlEsent a 'true and fair, view, and the report is limited to tljose matters set out in the
statement below.
Independent examlner's statement
In the course of our examination no matter has come to our attention:
( l) which gives us reasonable cause to believe that in any material respect the requireinents:
to keep accounting records in accordance with section 130 of the 201 l Act.

BASIS OF ACCOUNTING
These accounts have been prepared on the historic cost basis in accoi'dance with
Accounting and reporting by Charities - Statement of Recommended Piactice (SORP
2005)

And with the Charities Act 2011
ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Going Concern
The trustees consider the charity has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for
the foreseeable future, including the next 12 months from the date of signing these financial
statements, they also consider that the aforementioned resources enable the charity to meet its
obligations and debt as thcy fall due. Accordingly, the financial statements have been prepared
on the going concern basis.
Ineome
All income is recognised once the charity has entitlement to it, and it is probable that income
will be received and that it can be reliably measured.
Grants and donations
Gi'ants and donations are only included in the SOFA when the charity has unconditional
entitlement to the resources.
Tax reclaims on donations and gifts
Incoming resources from tax reclaims are included in the SOFA at the time as the gift to which
they relate.
Liability recognition
Liabilities are recognised as soon as there is a legal or constructive obligation committing the
charity to pay out resources.
Governance costs
Include costs of the preparation and examination of statutory accounts, the costs of trustee
meetings and cost of any legal advice to trustees on governance or constitutional matters.
Grants with performance conditions
Where the charity gives a grant with conditions for its payment being a specific level of service
or output to be provided. such grants are only recognised in the SOFA once the r¢cipient of tlie
grant has provided the specified service or output.
