REPORT FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 March 2024 The Trustees present their annual report and financial statements of North Walsham and District Round Table Charitable Fund forthe year ended 31 March 2024 The flnancial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accountlng pollcies set out In the notes on page 8 of the accounts and comply with the charlty's Trust Deed, the Charities Act 2011 and the Statement of Recommended Practice: Account and Reporting by Charities published in 2015. Objettives and Activities The objects of the charity are to encourage high ethical standards in commercial lrfe through the promotion of fellowship arnongst young professional and businessmen, and to empower each Individual to make a positive impact at home, work and in the community. This is achieved through regular table meetings and raising charitable funds in order to make donations to good causes in and around the North Walsham area. Funds are raised through various means, primarily the Christmas Santa Slelgh and annual beer festival. Strutture, Governance and Management The Charitable Fund Is a reglstered charity, number 1070536, and is constituted under a declaration of trust dated 23 April 1998. The charity raises funds in order to support local good causes in and around North Walsham, this is primarily achieved through the Christmas Santa Sleigh and donations and sponsorshlp received for the annual beer festival. Trustees are appointed at a Trustee meetln& wlth due regard to their p055essing the skills, knowledge and experience needed for the effective administration of the charity. Trustees must be members of the Round Table North Walsham 331 business group and be under the age of 45. Public Benefit Statement The Trustees have regard to the Charity Commission's public beneflt guldance.
ROUND fABLE North Walsham & Distrltt 331 North Walsham and District Round Table Charitable Fund TRUSTEES, REPORT (contlnued) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 Marth 2024 Achievements and performance We held another successful beer festival on North Walsham's Memorial Park. The festival is proving to be an extremely popular event for North Walsham drawing crowds from the town and beyond. Its popularity has meant that we have already received advance sponsorshlp for the August 2024 festivall We are extremely proud of the funds ralsed from the festival which enables us to support so many local charlties and other eauses. A total of £7,778 was raised from the festival. We were able to roll out Santa's Sleigh in December and we once again had another successful year, with donations of £1,153 (2023: £1,970). The charity continued to support local charities and good causes and donated a total of £10,252 during the year 2023 (2023: £9,432) Flnanclal RevSew Donations received decreased to £1,058 compared to £3,407 in 2023. There was an excess of income over expendlture durlng the year of £2,140 (2023: £8,009). Reserves at the end of the year stand at £18,120 (2023: £15,980). Reserves Pollcy The charity holds sufficient reserves to ensure that any suitable requests received from local good causes can always be met, in order to satisfy the objectives of the charity. ROUNDTABLE North Walsham & Distritt 331 North Walsham and District Round Table Charitable Fund Report of the Independent Examiner to the Trustees of North Walsham and District Round Table Charitable Fund I report to the charity trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity for the year ended 31 March 2024 which are set out on page 5 to 7. Responsibilitles and basis of report As the charittys trustees you are responsible forthe preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 ('the ACY). I report in respect of my examlnation of the charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and In carrying Out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under sertion 145(5){b) of the ACL Independent examlnerfs staternent I have completed my exarnination. I conflrm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: accounting records were not kept in respect of the charity as required by section 130 of the Act; 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in the report in order to enable a proper understandlng of the accounts to be reached. AccouKfiNG POUCIES The principal accounting policies are set out below: Accounting recelpts Convention The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and are in accordance wlth applicable UK accountlng standards. The financial statements also comply with the Statement of Recommended Practice: "Accounting and Reportlng by Charities" published in 2015 and the Chartties Act 2011. Income Income is accounted for on a receipts basis. Expenditure Expenditure is accounted for on a payments basis. 2.
