## **TRUSTEES’ REPORT (continued) FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 March 2023**

## **Achievements and performance**

This was our first fully functioning year since the global COVID 19 pandemic. We were able to once hold our beer festival, the first one since 2019. The festival was held at a new bigger location on North Walsham’s Memorial Park. This proved to be incredibly successful with a profit of just over £14,000 being raised. We were able to roll out Santa’s Sleigh in December and we once again had another successful year, with donations of £1,970. The charity continued to support local good causes and donated a total of £9,432 during 2023 (2022: £1,610)

## **Financial Review**

Donations received increased during 2023 and totalled £3,407 compared to £885 during 2022. There was an excess of income over expenditure during the year of £8,009 (2022: excess of expenditure over income of £203). Reserves at the end of the year stand at £15,980 (2022: £7,971).

## **Reserves Policy**

The charity holds sufficient reserves to ensure that any suitable requests received from local good causes can always be met, in order to satisfy the objectives of the charity.
