**Objects:** (A) TO ADVANCE FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PERSONS WHO ARE PUPILS AT SCHOOLS POLYTECHNICS AND UNIVERSITIES OR OTHER CENTRES OF EDUCATION PRINCIPALLY FOR THE INHABITANTS OF BUCKHURST HILL AND THE SURROUNDING NEIGHBOURHOODS (HEREINAFTER CALLED "THE AREA OF BENEFIT") BY ENSURING THAT DUE ATTENTION IS GIVEN TO THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION OF SUCH PUPILS AS WELL AS TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND OCCUPATION OF THEIR MINDS AND WITH A VIEW TO FURTHERING THIS OBJECT TO OF FACILITIES AND TO ENCOURAGE SUCH PUPILS TO PARTICIPATE IN SPORT. (B) TO PROVIDE OR ASSIST IN THE ORGANISATION OR PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PHYSICAL RECREATION IN THE INTERESTS OF SOCIAL WELFARE IN ANY PART OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT WITH THE OBJECT OF IMPROVING THE CONDITIONS OF LIFE FOR SUCH PUPILS WHO ARE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 AND WHO BY REASON OF THEIR YOUTH AND SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC CIRCUMSTANCES HAVE NEED OF SUCH FACILITIES.
