Re8ponsibilitles of trnstses
As explained more fully in the 8t8tem8nt of trustees, responsibilities, the trustees, who are also the directors of Ihe
Gharity for the purpose of company law, are responsible for the preparation of the financial statements and for being
satisfied that they giva a true and fair view, 8nd for such internal control as the Irustees determine is ne￿ssary to
enable th8 preparation of financial staternents that are free from material misstatement, wh@ther du8 to fraud or

concorn basis of accounting unless the trustees either Sntend to liquldate the charitable. company or to cease
OP8rallons, or have no realistic alternative but to do so.
Audltorfs responslbllltles for the audit of tho flnanclal statements
We have been appointed as auditor under section 144 of the Charities Act 2011 and report in accordance with th&
Act and re18vant regulations made or having effect th8reundeT.
Our objectives 8r8 to obtain reasonable assurance about whether th9 financlal statements as a whole are fre8 from
material misststement, whether due to fr8ud Dr error, and to issue an auditor's r@port that includ8s our opinion.
Reasonable assurance is a high lev81 of assurance but is not a guarantee that an audit conducted in accordance
with ISAS (UK) will always detect a material misstatement when it exists. Misstatements can arise from fraud or
error and are considered material if, individually or in th8 aggregate. they could reasonably be expected to infiuence
the economic decisions Df users taken on th8 basls of these financial statem&nl8.
The extent to whlch our procedures are capabl8 of det8cting Irregularities, Including fraud, is d8tailed b81ow.
Enquiry of management aml thosg charged wllh government around actual and potential liligatlon and claims.
Discusslons with management and those charged with governance including consideratron of known or suspected
instances of n0￿cOMpliance with laws and regulations and fraud.
Und&rstanding and evaluation of th8 operating effectiveness of management's entity level controls designed to
prevent and detect irregularities.
R8viowing mlnutes of meetings of those charged with govemanae.
Reviewing financial statement disclosures and testing SUPPDrting do¢umentalion to assess compliance with
applicable laws and regulations.
Auditing Ihe risk of managemenl overrfde of controls, inclLJding through testing Journal entrles and other adjustments
for appropriateness, and evaluating the business rationale of significant transactions outside the nornial course of
busingss.
Testing over period end adjustments.
There are inherent limitations In th9 audit procedures described abov@. We are less likely to become aware of
instances of non-compliance with laws and regulations that are not dosety related to events and transaclions
refl&cted in the financial staternents. Also. the risk of not detecting a material misstatement due to fraud is higher
than the rislc of not detecting one resulting from error, as fraud may involve deliberate concealment by, for example,
forgery or intentional misrepresentations, or through collusion. Our audit testlng might include testing complete
populations of certain transactions and balances, possibly uslng data audttlng techniques. However. it typically
involves selecting a limited number of items for testing, rather than testing complete populations. We will often seek
lo target particular items for testing based on their size or risk characteristics. In other cases, we will use audit
sampling lo 8nable us to draw a conclusion about the population from which the sample is selected.
A further description of our responsibllfriles is avaTlable on tho Flnancial Reporting Council's webstte at- https.'Il
