**Objects:** THE PROMOTION AND ADVANCEMENT OF THE GENERAL AND PASTORAL WELFARE OF THE PEOPLE OF THE SEA WORLDWIDE, REGARDLESS OF CREED, GENDER OR ETHNIC ORIGIN, IN WAYS CONSISTENT WITH CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLES AND THE RECOGNISED PRACTICES OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.(THE &#x27;PEOPLE OF THE SEA&#x27; INCLUDE SEAFARERS AND MARITIME PERSONNEL. SEAFARERS ARE ACTUALLY THOSE ON BOARD MERCHANT SHIPS AND FISHING VESSELS AND ALL WHO FOR WHATEVER REASON ARE UNDERTAKING A VOYAGE. MARITIME PERSONNEL INCLUDES THOSE WHO WORK ON PRODUCTION PLATFORMS OFFSHORE, IT INCLUDES STUDENTS PREPARING FOR THIS WORK AND THOSE WHO HAVE RETIRED FROM THIS WORK, IT ALSO INCLUDES THEIR FAMILIES AND PORT WORKERS)

**Activities:** Stella Maris (formerly known as the Apostleship of the Sea) provides practical, pastoral and spiritual  support to seafarers, fishers and their families through a network of port chaplains &amp; volunteers. We visit  ships directly &amp; work in seafarers&#x27; centres. Main needs are: spiritual support; communication with family; transport; port information; news; clothing; help during crisis.
