Head coach report
We￿e had a brilliant year- Our new extension has been a huge help with the club expanding in
numbers. We have a new beam, trampette and the new rings that have recently been put up.
We have 3 new mats and a competits'on spring board on the way. We won the Tesco stronger
starts fundraiser to be able to purchase the springboard.
Our coach Charlotte has completed her level 2 General qualffication and has recenty signed up
for a level I tumbling qualffication. Annie and Charlotte both completed their pre-school
qualification at the end of last year.
The new badge system has taken off realty well wilh lots of children passing and purchasing
them. All children have the opportunity to complete this testing. Our next badge testing week is
the week beginning Monday iv March and it is Bars and Beam. All of our badge testing W￿kS
have been scheduled this week and are listed on the nevrfsletter each month.
We've had several girls undertake their duke of Edinburgh volUnt￿ring with us." Charlotte and
Hana completed theirs last year. We have Abi back volunteering for her gold award and Immi
volunteering for her bronze award.
Our classes are running smoothty throughout, our new pre-school class on a Friday has taken
off really well and good numbers for our parent and tcKldler sessions. Annie and l are now
offering private l-l coaching sessions. We have a new class on a Saturday for beginners as
well. We launched a new Monday evening 2 hour class which we have had a really good uptake
and Adrian has launched a new adult gymnastics class b￿nesdaY evening.
We will be taking part in this year's Kingsbridge Fair week and will be perfonning our yearty
display. We are also preparing for our yeaty club championships on May 12°.
Our squad girls have been working hard -some of our girls took part in the regional Zinc
championships at Exeter Imogen took * place on Bars eaming a bronze medal and Isabel
earning 3, place on floor.
We also took part in the fin and Zinc teams competition with our Tin team placing 2nd overall.
1st place for Charlotte, India pla￿d 3°.
Our Zinc team placed 3° overall.
And even more recenty 12 of our squad girfs undertook their Grades On Sunday 10 March at
Penryn. All girls passed their grade with either a working above or W0￿1ng beyond result. We
also received several placings. We received 10 bronze medals, 9 silver medals and 7 gold
medals collectively.
Annie and l are hoping to take some of the girls to their first tumbling competition in May to see
rf the girls would like to add this to the repertoire.
We would really like ary parents who are interested in the sport to come forward rf they would
be interested in doing some judging. We struggle to enter competitions at times and often have
to pay large fines to go out to compets'tions due to this.

Annie's part
I have been doing lots of marketing to advenise our new sessions as well as ty to boost our
existing classes. l am also in touch wrth all the l(Kal primary schools. secondary schools and
pre-schools to ty and offer them the chance to use our Spa￿ within their curriculum.
Unfortunately lots of schools are facing budget cuts or have transport barriers but hopefulty we
will be able to try and come up with a plan in the fijture. We have had 2 requests for us to offer
after school sessions at 2 of the local primary schools which may also be an offer we can
accommodate in the future with extra staffing.
I have lots of new ideas for classes and sessions which indude; a daytime adult class. a drop in
session for home ed children. more parent and toddler classes, Adult SEN *ssions.
We have A new home Ed class that we launched on a Thursday Moming which is full, this is a
mixture of abilities ranging from age 4 to 11.
Our Gymclusive class is thriving. we have got a lovely bunch of regulars who show up each
week as well as some fresh faces. Our half term Gymclusive session we had only 4 children
tum up however, l am confident that this could increase in coming holidays.
l am emailing out dl the special needs schools with details of our Gymclusive offerings which
has been shared in the schools neV￿retterS. We also have had interest from BithNell Brook
school in terms of them coming in to use our space wrthin their curriculum.
Vrfe have had some interest from Kingsbridge Communrty College tCMJ.
Our parties have been a huge hit since we have changed our pncing and offering. We now offer
a structured paty at £150 or a non-structured paty which is £100. Our Structured parties
include 2 coaches with up to 16 children-this is a mixture of games. structured learning and free
time-optional for food as well. Our non-structured parties include I coach and up to 20 children
with parental supervision. this is completely free play wrth the option for food add on if wanted.
Most weekends in March have a party booked so its safe to say the parties have taken off
successfulty.
Leadership Academy
Charlotte and I have been working on building up our leadership Academy. The leadership
academy is an award scheme to help develop our young gymnasts within the sport. this can be
leaming the different roles that are a part of gymnastics as well as the most IM￿rtant topics like
mental health and safeguarding. They have opportunities to help out at various different level
events-club, regional and nats'onal. Imogen Rundle and Oli Smyih are our CapLwns. We also
have interested in working with us to complete the awards. Imogen. along with our helper Hana
completed their Gymnastics helper award in 2023 which allows them to help coach their
syllabus within our sessions. Hana be found helping out on a Monday and Tuesday
evening. Imogen helps out at our holiday clubs when she's not doing her own sessions. Imogen
recently undertook an intro to Mental health and wellbeing course as well as an intro to judging
course to help advance her to her Bronze and Silver awards. Imogen has also set up a second
hand leotard and gym wear sale as her project to help raise fiJnds for the club. Oli has

Minutes of 202213 rneeting were read and signed as a true copy.
Matters arising from minutes," Correction-Tony Rundle was not actually a Trustee untll May of 2023. The
minutes should read, Tony Rundle was invited to join the Board of Trustees. .
Trustee report; The Club has grown and and expanded it's offering once a8ain and is operating with due
gard to the Goveming Document guidelines. Financial position is strong and The Club should be
congratulated for maintaining a surplus withsuch challenging cost of living experieneces. The surplus
which include a 'ring fenced, safety deposit equÉvalent to 12 months rent. Is considered too high. As a
charitable organisation we should find ways to engage the surplus for the benefit of members and our
community. Trustees suggest a sum be set aside. up to £5k. for the express use by children unable to
beome a member due to financial hardship. It is not easy to identifythese children. Martina and Dena
will contact our local primary and secondary schools for their suggested individuals. The Club already has
a small sum set aside for current members in financial hardship.
The re-modellin8 of The Club has been a great sucess. so muth extra useable space is now in constant
Use by dasses. the work was largely carried out during the summer closure and The Trustees would like
to thank contractors and volunteers for the superb result.
Squad classes are in external competitions regularty and continue to enjoy success as well as achievlng
personal goals. boys squad is intending to attend a competition before summer 2024 which will be a
great development. Club Champs is scheduled once again and is eagedy anticipated by the enti￿ dub.
The Club held a wonderful Christmas party which was very busyl The Gymclusive dass had a surprise
visit from Father Christmas who made a big impact. There is a suggestion to include more members from
non squad classes in a low key competition with another club. The Trustees encourage this.
Questions were asked about risk assessment and compliance documents, Trustees are awa￿ they are in
place but are concemed they do not appear to be available for public scrutiny. Similarly. HR documents
are incomplete, contracts must be signed within a defined period to protect The aub and employee.
Trustees suggest 7 days is sufficient from publication to signatu￿, employment offers should be
withdrawn if there are undue delays for new employees and dixiplinary actions engaged for current
employees. The Management Committee should use their discretion whilst maintaining integrity of
employment conditions. Trustees encourage The aub to define roles and responsibilities to ensure

coaches and volunteers understand their job role. everyone should be well advised where their
responsibilities begin and end.
The Governing Document is considered to be outdated by events since it's inception. Tony will
investigate a schedule of ammendments and report back.
The Club should On￿ again be congratulated on another positive year ethically, financtally, pastorallv
and sport specifically. Sound management and quality coathing as well as ensuring safety. wellbeing and
