## **Trustees during the year:** 

- Parveen Jayia, Trustee & Co-Chair 

- Aerin Seward, Co-Chair & Treasurer 

- Holly Jepson, Secretary and Event Lead 

- Cachel von Allemann, Event Lead 

Trustees are elected at the Annual General Meeting and serve on a voluntary basis. 

## **2. Structure, Governance and Management** 

All parents and carers of children at Hampton Pre-Prep & Prep School are automatically members of the HPPPA. Trustees are elected by members at the AGM. The committee is comprised of a number of members who volunteer as class reps, who meet regularly during the school year to plan events and review finances. 

The HPPPA works in partnership with the school leadership to agree how funds raised can best support pupils. 

None of the trustees have been paid any remuneration or received any other benefits. 

## **3. Objectives and Activities** 

The HPPPA have the special task of bringing together our children, parents and wider community, whilst supporting both the school and charities through fundraising events. We are a committee made up of volunteer parents and strive to build an inclusive, friendly communicative environment. 

## **4. Achievements and Activities During the Year** 

During the year the HPPPA organised the following events: 



- Second-hand Uniform Sales (Sep 2023, Jan 2024 and April 2024) 

- Diwali Festival of Light Celebration (Nov 2023) 

- Christmas Events (Raffle, Secret Santa and Parent Drinks) (Nov/Dec 2023) 

- Family Bingo Evening (Feb 2024) 

- Summer Fair (June 2024) 

- Summer Ball (June 2024) 

These events raised funds to support the school and provided opportunities for families to come together as a community. 

## **How Funds Were Used** 

During the year the HPPPA funded: 

- £100 – Charity Matching with the school council 

- £1,176.44 – Year 2 and Year 6 Leavers Gifts & Easter Activities 

- £3,895.38 – School Wishlist Items (Digital Camera, Microscopes & SEN Department supplies) 

The trustees are pleased that these contributions have enhanced the educational experience of pupils and contributed to other charities. 

## **5. Financial Review** 

Total income for the year: £26,016.50 + £175.16 (Interest) Total expenditure for the year: £18,684.05 Surplus / (Deficit) for the year: £7,507.61 

Balance at start of year: £1,278.48 Balance at end of year:  £8,610.93 

## **Reserves Policy** 

The HPPPA has £14,273.93 in our reserve fund held in a separate savings account to cover any planned spending and ongoing commitments. All interest earned is added to our income for the year. 

## **6. Plans for the Next Year** 

In the coming year the HPPPA plans to: 

- Continue regular fundraising events 

- Support the school with joint charity initiatives and ‘wishlist’ items 

- Recruit additional volunteers

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the above charity (“the Trust”) for the year ended **31/07/2024** . 

**Responsibilities and** As the charity's trustees, you are responsible for the preparation of the **basis of report** accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (“the Act”). 

I report in respect of my examination of the Trust’s accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act. 

**Independent** I have completed my examination.  I confirm that no material matters have **examiner's statement** come to my attention in connection with the examination which gives me cause to believe that in, any material respect: 

- the accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Charities Act; or 

- the accounts did not accord with the accounting records; or 

- the accounts did not comply with the applicable requirements concerning the form and content of accounts set out in the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a ‘true and fair’ view which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination. 

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
