The Cost of Llving crisis has led to increased dernand for many of our services. The crisis hlts the poorest and most vulnerable the hardest, and dlrectly impacts both physical and mental health. Our services conlinue to address the root Causes of poverty, poor health and isolation, bringing communitles tog8ther, to find support and solutions through working logether. Ace (Actlve Clubs Experlence> continues to work with over 10,000 children each year, supporllng 80 schools, engaging children sports and activtly sessions and providlng advlce on healthy eating through Change for Llfe. Our servlces for Adults wlth learnlng dlsabilities offered activities and tralnirsg for adults with learning dlsabililles 2t The Bridge Day Service and our community café in Watsonia Cross Flatts Part(. Total income for the year was £2,205,782 (2022: £2.231,799). Grant income fell from £843,619 In 2023 (38Yo of tolal income) to £796,520 (360/0 of total Income). Fee income increased from £1,377,733 in 2023 (620/0 of total income) to £1,387,912 (63% of total income}. Total expenditure for the year was £2,512.883 (2023: £2,275,635). an increase of £237,248. Slafflng costs were £1,754,317 (2023: £1,638,437), an increase of £115,880 (7% Increase). staffing represented 700/0 <2023: 72 % ) of annual expenditure. The size of the staff team remained 8t similar levels to 2023,. the increased staff costs reflect the charlty's need to increase staff pay to ensure salaries reflect the rising cost of living. Premises costs were £151,744 (2023.. £137,136} an InGrease of £14.608 {11Qlo increase). The Increased prernlses costs refleGt ongolng increases In the cost of utilities for our centres. After the transfer of monl8s belwegn funds Ihere was a net spend on unrestricted funds of £54,070 and a net spend on restricted funds of £253,031. Princi al Fundln Sources Health for All generates income via a diverse range of projects and services. In 2023_24 360 of Income came from grants, 32% from contracis, whlle 31D/o of income was generated through delivery of unrestricted fee generatlng servlces. Any surplus generated from unrestricted income is re-invested back inlo our charltable activltles to provide ongoing projects and services for the communities we work with. Investment Powers and Poli Under the Schemes rules the charktable company has the power to make any investments which the Iw5tees see fit. Reserves Polic and Goin Concern Our reserves policy reflecls our wish to malntain flnanclal stabillty thereby enabling us to increase the range of disadvantaged communities to which we provide supporL Our policy a150 recognises that the majority of our grant income is awarded on an annual basis and is susceptible to changes in funders, Income and expendlture plan5. Our pollcy is to aim to malntain unrestdGted funds withln an agreed range (currently £60k -£170k) based on assessed potential need for unfores8en emergency ￿nds, an unexpected loss of income, seed funding, commifments and long-terrn plans.
