- • Explorers: 55 (associated to the group) 

- _Waiting list: 86_ 

- _Drop outs are very low_

- Kayaks / Canoes / Pulling boats / SUPs / Raft Building 

“We are lucky enough to have one of the best-equipped boat bases in the County”

## The Last 12 Months – We: 

- Delivered over 35,000 Hours of Scouting to over 200 members aged 6-18 and beyond. 

- Spent aprox 1,100 nights away 

- Splashed for aprox 2,000 hours on the water 

- Awarded 2,293 Badges, including 34 Chief Scout awards (The highest award you can earn in each section ) 

Beavers = Bronze 

Cubs = Silver 

Scouts = Gold 





## The Last 12 Months – We: 

- Implemented the changes to Group Governance inline with Scout regulations 

- Posted weekly Facebook updates and updated our Group Website 

- Fund raised through 

   - Bag Packing 

   - Group Raffle 

   - Gift Aid 

   - Just Giving 

   - Hall and Boatbase Hire 






## The Next 12 Months 

- Implement changes in managing volunteers 

- Future proofing: 

   - Premises 

   - Finances 

   - Quality of scouting 

- Improve our young leader programme 

- Increase volunteer numbers 

- Increase parent Involvement – Parent induction 

- Continue to champion diversity and inclusion

## Changes to the volunteer experience 

GROUP SUPPORT / OPERATIONAL TEAM- TASKS: 

- Checks and suitability of Trustee Board members 

- Manage risks for the Group, including Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats 

- Manage money well 

- Follow Scout’s policies and relevant legislation 

- Hold an AGM, Create Trustee’s Annual Report and Statement of Accounts 

- Look after records regarding buildings, insurance and property 

- Help the charity to operate well, today and in the future 

- Make sure records of Trustee Board meetings are kept 

- Co-opt Trustees onto the Board if they need people with specific skills or knowledge 

- Get expert advice, if needed. This could be on health and safety, managing money, buildings, equipment, or employment. 

- Network with other Scout trustees to share knowledge and experience
