Barbara Rose Christian Preschool Chairman's Report 2023-24 Proverb5 3.5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight During the 2023-24 Year we thought the Setting was contlnuing its move away from 'The Covid Era, and had entered a more stsble period, however at the end of the year Covid was returningl Illness always Impacts our smooth running as financial constraints mean we cannot employ any excess staff, but as usual staff have worked together to fill the gap5 and have given extra time to help maintain the efficient running of the setting. At the end of the Year our children were well prepared for the move to schools, and we wish them well and thank their parents for choosing Barbara Rose. Nathan our Youth and Chlldren's Pastor continues teach and entertain the children with his educationa but often wacky visits. Managing the pre-school on the poor fundin8 continue5 to be challenging. Any increase in Mlnlmum Wage or National insurance without a similar increase in funding from the local authorlty threatens the continued existence of the preschool Aly as usual has done a great job with budgets and forecasts. There was minimal fundraising this year although the new flooring was funded by a direct donatlon to St Paul's PCC. Projections for 2024-25 year will yet again requlre careful management to provlde the standarcls we expect to malntaln for our children. Our Audlted Accounts show a IOK proflt this year due to early payment of Local Authorlty Funds for the 2024-25 Year. This does not truly reflect the flnanclal posltlon whlch is a small loss of approx. £400 Finally, thanks to Emma our manager, our great staff and all the Trustees for their outstanding contribution to Barbara Rose Pre-school.
