RAB LATE PLAY CLUB Trustees Report for The Year Ended 31st August 2025 The Trustees of RAB Late Play Club Charity present their annual report and accounts for the year ending 31 st August 2025 and confirm that they comply with the requirements of the Charities Act. OVERVIEW The FiAB Late Play Club is registered with OFSTED and is a registered charity offenng a Breakfast Club and an After School Club for children attending the R A Butler Academy. Our objective is to provide qualty, affordable childcare in a safe, fun and social environment, that guarantees parents and carers pea￿ of mind. During the period we provided tern time care for up to 130 children from Reception through to Year 6. In response to demand our intake has once again increased compared to previous years_ We remain at fijll capacity for most days and are delighted to have maintained a respected profile within the local communty over the past year. Within the hyo dubs the thildren are offered a Choi￿ of nutritious drinks and snacks and are free to choose from a vartety of art and Lyaft activities and a range of tablelop games. The school playing fields are used for outdoor activities when the weather is fine. As a charity we seek to tenefit the local communty. therefore we aim to keep our fees affordable. RAB Late Play Club is commttted to safeguarding and the welfare of children in their care and the Trustees make sure that the staff understands and shares these principles. We promote social cohesion by not tolerating any abuse or bullying amongst children or staff and by accepts'ng and caring for children from all ethnic backgrounds. Our a¢tivities and planning are in ag￿rnent wtth the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit_ ACHIEVEMENTS AND PERFORMANCE We have continued to serve the needs of the communty, and the staff have On￿ again provided an excellent amenity for children and their parents. We recrurted ￿0 new managers who have successfvlly navigated a major period of change and mainlained the Club's excellent reputation following the retirement of the Club's long-teim Manager. We undertook a program of improvements to the intemal and extemal areas of the Club by re-investing Club reserves. Stsff retention and recrurtment in the Childcare Sector continues to be challenging but the Club has On￿ again Suc￿$fUlty increased staff numbers in order to meet the need for an increase in capacity. In response to the growng stze ofthe Club, we have gone through a re-slructuring provtding greater opportunity for staff progression. The Club continues to adopt the 'Fair Wage. policy. Our staff training program has expanded, and we continue to encourage continued

professional development and fvrther enhance play skills We utilised the Poppins Early Years Bursary for a member of staff who SU￿ssfUllY attained a qualification in play work which has contributed greatly to the quality of our provision. We have continued to maintain a g¢)od financial postiion in the face of rising costs and the administrative overheads of a growing organisation. Our Trustee & Management Commlttee membership has increased over the past year. The Committee Chair has changed due to the resignation of the previous Chair whose children no longer attend the Club. Trustee awareness and Safeguarding training is an area of constsnt review. FUTURE PLANNING We will continue to closely monitor the financial stability of the Club so that we remain in a robust financial position whilst continuing to operale safely wtth minimum disruption to our children. Our Investments and Reserves policy wll be reviewed to ensu￿ this continues to be appropriate. We will continue to cL)nsult with parents and carers over the coming year to identify our Suc￿$Se$ and areas we can make improvements to best serve our communty. We will review our provision for SEND and iderrttfy potential for further staff training to meet this growing need. We will continue to work dosely wtth the School's SENCO to manage the provision for children with special educational needs or disabilities. We will review our staff training program to further enhance play skills and staff awareness of the diverse needs of L*ildren and how to best resporKI to these. Training and indudion for Trusteeslcommitlee Members will continue to be enhanced. Childcare reforms are ongoing to improve the accessibilty of ￿aP-around-tht1dCare including the govemment's plan to offer free Breakfast Clubs to all children_ The extent to which these rnay impact the Club will be dosely montiored by the Management Committee. ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE The Trustees and Management Commtttee are responsible for the overall direction of the charity. The day-to-day operation is organised by the Play Club Co-managers supported by Play Leaders and appropriately qualified staff. The finanoal and business management is organised by the Treasurer & Business Manager. The Trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in deciding what activities the chanty should undertake. Signed ....... Responsibilities and basis of report As the charity trustees of the Chanty, you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Chartties Act 2011 {"the Act"). I report in respect of my examination of the Charity's accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination, I have followed the applicable Directions gtven by the Charity Commission under section 14515)(b) of the Act. Independent examinerfs statement I have completed my examination. I confinn that no matters have come to my attention in connection with the examinab'on giving me cause to believe: accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 130 of the Act or the accounts do not accord with those records,. or the accounts do not comply with the applicable requirements conceming the form and content of accounts set out in the Chartties (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 other than any requirement that the accounts give a 'true and fair view. which is not a matter considered as part of an independent examination.
