ORGANISAnoNAL RE N4aAXIN PROC The charity 15 controlled by its governbng document that constitutes an unincorporated chèrity. Appropriate staff are employed to meet the church's r)eeds. Members, meetin85 are scheduled to be held four times each year. All member5 are encouraged to participate in these meetings when the splrltual and practical objectives of the charity are dSscussed and agreed. Acriviri &0 hlldr nandy un For Christmas 2021, the Youth Department hosied a movie ni8ht via Zoom and watched the Superbook Nativity Story. They also hosted a craft evenin8 via Zoom and created a biblical puppet theatre to retell the Nativrty story. In February 2022, the youth department distributed Inspiration Boxes to young people aged 13-25. These boxes were themed on ihe love of God and contained biblical scriptures on God's love. The children and young people also met weekly on Sund3ys with the CYP team for soclal tlme and bible teachin8 5eswns. In July 2022 the Youth Department once again hosted Ivs annal Youth Conference where the children enjoyed retellin8 blble stories, shared artwork. songs and poetry. For Christmas 2022, as in previous Years, the Youth Department wa5 able lo d15tribute Christmas pSeftts to the chlldren and youn8 people within the community. Educatlon The EdLbcation Department sessions continues online and provided the opportunlty to invite guest speakers from the UK and abroad. Moving online openÈd unexpected opportunities for people to join the services and sessions for those who a house l)ound and those living in and outside the comrnunity. Developin8 our provision for online sessKins and servi5 has provided the opportunity to broaden our sense of community and connection as rt has made it easier for people tojoin us online and has addre55ed re5trictior15 In terms of bocalsty and time, i.e.. people have been able to join our meetin85 from all over the world and time zones. Women's Grou Durin8 2022. the women remained connected by way of a WhaisApp group, sharin& and celebrating birthdays and supportin8 each other duiing difficult and challenging times such as bereavements and illne55e5 Wlth prayers and encouragement. The women continued to provide support via Zoom and WhatsApp which was a150 helpful to those who live alone. This also allowed the group to fellowship and share thought5 that encouraged, Strengthened, and supported women within the community. In September 2022 the women once again met in person and enjoyed bnjnch and social artivities at a local tea shop. It was a blessing to unite and be able to interact with people from the general public with joy and laughter. In December 2022. the women enjoyed a Chri5tma5 meal at a local restaurant and appreciated a social and spirittjal ent that was enjoyed by all who attended. The Group desires to share the love of Christ with others and look forward to more )Cial events which is essential in

Therefore. the group will continue to work towards more community events throu8hout 2023 and beyond. Men's Grou In 2022, coming out of the retent paftdemic. the Team I¢xk5 to reestablish In-person actlvities. The Team has managed to maintain contact with most men thfou8hout the pandemic and now able to meet frequently in person. such as enjoying a Prayer Breakfast with friends from the assembly and of the community. A barbeque was a150 enjoyed by both men forn the assembly and friends from the community. Several of the men attended a Men's Confence which was holistic in nature and dealt with issues such as depression and mental health. whith afe serious issues affecting men at large in the UX, as they are not often swken of. The Men's Team also SUPPOrts those who are vulnerable. housebound and with physical challen8es. this can be by way of pro¥iding transportation for those who are unable to get around. Pri50n visits Is another ministry that the Men's Team have been involved with. The Team c¢>rrtinues to develop relationships that encourage personal growth and development, and each 1que abilitie5 and talents that can be utilised to support these endeavours. By Gods Brace the Team will continue to minister to the practKal needs of men both from the assem¥ ar the wider community for 8enerations in 2023 and beyond. The Coffee Mornings are nornially open to all age ranges and to the wider community. They encourage senior cltiiens, the unemployed, lonety, and vulnerable ol all a8es within the general community to come together and socialise. This runs alongside the Food Bank and enables us to Sl8n post commuiNty members to relevant agentie5 for a variety of different services. As part of engaging th the communrty. we also offer support, and companionship to those who may feel isolated.. this Includes plawng l)oard ymes and through conversation. There are also options for anyone who may want to talk to someone in confidence. We have. however. introduced a 5UPPOrt group for Senior cltiien5 a8ed 70 and above, whith meets regularly via Zoom. Commun Chrtstmas Mtal Each year since 2015. the Churth hosts rts annual Community Christmas meal, Specifical lor those who are vulnerable or perhaps alone during this period. This year. it was wrth regret that we were not able to offer thls due to repairwork to be carried out on the buildi.
REGISTERED CHARITY NUMBER: 1068106 Black Histo The Black History Exhibition Competition is held annually land has done so since 20121 with the aim of raising aspirations and increasing knowledge atM)ut Black History. The competition is open to 7- to I1.yearOIS and now includes local schods. Entrants ha¥e resp( with a high level of enthusiasm and the schools have commented on the Sense of pre that the winner and runners up have felt as a result of them enterin8 and receivin8 unr¥ersity certrficates. The competition is sponsored by the University of Nottingham including a celebration for the winners and rur*ners up. The IYear10 wlnner of a prevKyJs arf5 ccffipetstwi felt that she was more Ilkely to go to universlty as a result of the competrtw. Thls was also the ¥lew of 3 9-year-old winner, who also said that it was good for her education. a5 she had leamed IV things that she did not know before. It also raised her aspiration5 in tern of the TAY)rk roles that she could see herself undertaking in the future. TRusfEES' SUMMAIIY OF KEY FAcfoR5 The Church is heavily dendent on its membership In all aspects of its artivities. Apart from thelr involvement in the Nnnin6 of all the Group artmtbes, their financial SUPFQrt underpins a substantial part of the Church's obiectrves. The financial results for the year, tO8ether with a SLtmmary of the accounting wIlc adopted are set out in the accompanyin8 fin•n¢ial statement. The building contlnues to be maintsined and developed as requlred for the needs of the charlty and its community. Vdunteers assist wr¢h genefal maintenance wlthin the church bulldlng. Substantial work was carried out on the roof and in and around the biJildin8 durin8 the year. The Income and Expenditure for all such work was met by a Grant from En8li5h Herita8e. In September 2021 Mount Zlon Apostollc Church was offered, by the National Lottery Herltage Fund INLHFI. a Develowient Grant towards their potential Building Project. A Tender process was undertaken to seek a Consultant Project Mana8er to mana8e the projea and Pulse Consult were successful and has been working on the Development phase to date. The Round 2 funding Application Is due to be submitted in November 2023. Fun The church contlnues to raise the funds to asslst speciflcally wlih actlvltles from wlthin Its own rnembership and con8re8atlon. Ile¥S The Trustees maintain an examination of the major risks which the charity might have to face and confirm that relevant policies ale in place to miti8ate whatever consequences aflse.
