Activities

GMBHCA celebrates Hindu Cultural, Social and Religious festivals that include Durga puja, Lakshmi puja, Kali puja, Saraswati puja and organises cultural /activities such as Bijoya Sammilani, Bengali New Year and other functions which include classical dances, music and dramas involving the younger generation and guest artists of the community. It also organises educational trips to various places.

Objects: To Promote The Benefit Of The Inhabitants Of Greater Manchester And Neighbouring Areas Whether Members Of The Association Or Otherwise And In Particular Those Of Bengali Hindu Origin Regardless Of Sex, Political, Religious Or Other Opinions By:1. Advancing Education Which Promotes Good Citizenship And Good Relations Between People Within A Multi-Racial, Multi-Cultural And Multi-Faith Society.2. Associating And Co-Operating With Local Authorities, Voluntary Organisations And Community Groups Or Individuals With The Common Aim Of Advancing Such Education And In The Provision Of Facilities Concerning Social Welfare, Recreation And Leisure With The Object Of Improving The Quality Of Life For The Individuals Described In The Objects Of The Association, And3. Establishing Or Securing The Establishment Of A Community Centre And Managing Or Co-Operating With Any Statutory Authority In The Maintenance And Management Of Such A Centre For Activities Promoted By The Association In Furtherance Of The Above Objects.
