|||**Risk and Internal Control**<br>The Group Trustee Board has identified the major risks to which<br>they believe the Group is exposed, these have been reviewed<br>and systems have been established to mitigate against them.<br>The main areas of concern that have been identified are:<br>Damage to the building, property and equipment. The Group<br>would request the use of buildings, property and equipment from<br>neighbouring organisations such as the church, community<br>centre and other Scout Groups. Similar reciprocal arrangements<br>exist with these organisations. ||**Community service and impact**<br>Local clean-ups: Groups organize litter-picking walks or clean-up<br>events for parks, rivers, and beaches, teaching responsibility<br>while improving the local environment.<br>The main achievements include fostering personal development<br>through skill-building, completing service projects for the<br>community, and earning top awards. These accomplishments<br>reflect the core principles of the Scouting movement: building<br>character, encouraging leadership, and making a positive impact<br>on society. Our group has throughout the year provided an<br>effectve programme, activites and camps both in the uk and<br>abroad for the children and young people that are entrusted to<br>us.This enables them to reach the highest awards in each<br>section and move through from 4 years old until adulthood as<br>leaders.<br>Chief Scout's Awards: The highest honors a young person can<br>earn in their age section, these awards signify significant<br>personal growth, resilience, and accomplishment.Leadership<br>skills: Scouts have numerous opportunities to lead their peers.<br>Older Scouts may become Patrol Leaders, taking on<br>responsibilities like mentoring younger members.<br>Leadership skills: Scouts have numerous opportunities to lead<br>their peers. Older Scouts may become Patrol Leaders, taking on<br>responsibilities like mentoring younger members.<br>Life skills: The Scouting program emphasizes "learning by doing"<br>Badge progression: Scouts earn dozens of different badges for<br>mastering a wide array of skills, from cycling and archery to<br>coding and performance art.|





Conservation projects: Achievements include building wildlife homes for animals like hedgehogs and birds, planting trees, or creating community gardens. Support for vulnerable people: Scout groups collect and donate needed items for local food banks, homeless shelters, and women's refuges. They also visit care homes to befriend elderly Fundraising: Groups organize events like bake sales, car washes, and sponsored activities to raise money for their troop or other local causes. Good Service Awards: Scout groups recognize adult volunteers for their dedication and exceptional service over many years, with awards such as the Chief Scout's Commendation and the Award for Merit.

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of the Orsett & 3ulphan Scout Group for the year ended 31
December 2024
Responsibilities and basis of report
As the charity trustees of the Orsett & BuLphan Scout Group you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in
accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 20111'the Aci'l.
I report in respect of my examination of the Or5ett & BuLphan Scout Group accounts carried out under section 145 of the
2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have foLLowed aLL the appLicabLe Directions given by the Charity Commission
under section 145151 Ibl of the Act.

I have compLeted my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the
examination giving me cause to beLieve that in any material respect:
