## **Annual Report of the Trustees - Year Ended 31-12-2025**
The charity is a small organisation established, mainly to support education and the relief of poverty, in accordance with the charitable purposes set out in its Declaration of Trust.
The charity operates on a very modest basis. It has no employees and no volunteers, and all of its activities are undertaken and overseen by the trustees. The trustees are responsible for managing the charity's affairs and finances and for ensuring that funds are applied appropriately and in accordance with the Declaration of Trust.
## **Activities and Charitable Purpose**
During the year, the trustees made awards where they were satisfied that the proposed use of funds was consistent with the charity's objectives.
The trustees remain committed to ensuring that charitable funds are directed towards genuine need and that grants provide meaningful assistance to those who benefit from them.
The charity's income during the year amounted to **£53,280** , and represents a significant reduction in income and in the level of grants available compared with previous years. The trustees recognise that this charity, like many charitable organisations, has operated in a more challenging fundraising environment over the past few years.
The trustees believe that wider economic pressures and the financial circumstances of individuals and families may have affected the amount of disposable income available for charitable giving.
The trustees have therefore continued to exercise appropriate caution in making grants, while remaining mindful of the charity's purposes and its responsibility to support genuine educational and financial need.
The trustees continue to monitor the charity's financial position closely.
As the charity has no employees, premises or significant ongoing administrative commitments, its operating structure remains straightforward.
The trustees seek to maintain an appropriate level of funds so that the charity can continue to respond to requests for assistance while also ensuring that its financial position remains sustainable.
All financial decisions are made by the trustees in accordance with the charity's Declaration of Trust and with due regard to their responsibilities as charity trustees.
## **Governance and Administration**
There are no paid employees and no separate body of volunteers. The trustees themselves undertake the administration and oversight required to operate the charity.
The trustees are committed to maintaining appropriate financial controls and to ensuring that the charity's resources are used solely in furtherance of its charitable purposes.
## **Looking Ahead**
The trustees recognise that the coming year may continue to present challenges, particularly if the economic pressures affecting charitable giving persist.
Nevertheless, the trustees remain committed to the charity's objectives and to continuing its work in supporting education and relieving poverty.
The trustees will continue to monitor income and expenditure carefully and seek to ensure that the charity's available resources are used where they can make the greatest possible difference.
While the charity is modest in size, the trustees believe that its focused approach enables it to respond carefully to genuine need and to make a positive contribution through the funds entrusted to it.
## **Trustees' Statement**
The trustees confirm that they have managed the affairs of the charity during the year in accordance with its Declaration of Trust and have sought at all times to act in the best interests of the charity and in furtherance of its charitable purposes.
The trustees would like to thank all those who have supported the charity during the year. Every donation, grant and contribution enables the charity to continue its work in supporting education and helping to relieve poverty.
