Coordinator5 Annual Report
Well we made itl This time last year. we were finding our world a very different pla￿, and today
l am so proud of ourvolunteers. SUPFX)rte15and of course our memberswho are"hands on"
albeit at a distance nowadays. as well as our Trustees who are very sUPPOrtive to myself and
the Charity as a whole.
Sincerest thanks to three special ladies. Lin. Lyndsey and Debbie. who keep Di's goin& come
rain or shine, they deserve their own pedestal, and have negotiated their way through Covid-19
and also, last year. the dreaded big "R" l As someone who struggles wtth figures and technology, l especially salute
Colin ourTreasurer who ts a whizz with our figures, and helps us to stsy in credit. Also. thanks to our independent
auditor Mr Mccabe.
Our Bid Funding Team who have been quietly working away behind the scenes. we are forever
grateful for their kind efforts in these even more competitive times. We have very nearly managed to see
completion of our New Feral Towers. helped along by some skilled crafts people. and already have some residents
enjoying the faciltties.
We have a floor which is now frt to walk across in the ancillary buildings, all holes mended, and
now given a facelift with some replacement floor covering. Di's 3 Earth Angels, were there
clearing it all ready for the repair work to commence, and put it all back again l Thank you all so
much l Grateful thanks goes to Sarah, our Homing Ctrordinator for coping with new ways of doing the role. It can
be challenging at times,11 know as l used to do ttll- Sarah has been a superstar by
doing virtual home visits, which have become the new nornial to keep us and potential adopters
safe. I still find it unnatural taking a cat or cats to their new home and leaving them on the
doorstep, and not being able to go inside and settle them in. but safety first in these difficult
times.
Again, we have been kept at more than full capactty, and managed to help cats and kittens
despite several lock downs. We have had to work wtth our vets who have not been able to
generate as many spay and neutering slots as swiftly a5 we would like. For Instan￿ we had 10
booked in fortheir ops in November la5tyear. butwhen we had a 2nd lock down, we had to
postpone them, but Bell and Partners were great and all were completed before Chri5tma>
Broad Lane Vets have also helped out with urgent work where necessary.
Thanks to our members who have become emergency fosterers Lyndsey. Gaynor and Georgia.
Fostering can be a tough and challenging road to trdvel. and we acknowledge that some
journeys can be tougher than others. How they stay strong and manage to let them go to their
new homes is remarkable. and we do know how hard it isl
Grateful thanks to our local RSPCA'S Dave Budd, Deputy Manager, who has been generous
with items they cannot use themselves, as well as being there to chat should the need arise.
Tesco Stores have also been looking after our Charity by allowing us to have a collertion point
with Melissa at Tesco Cross Point. and Michelle at Tesco Ricoh. lan and his team at Just for Pets Ricoh also have a
collection point within their store at the Ricoh Shopping Centre.
We also receive very valuable Liftlines via the Pets at Home VIP (Very Important Pet) scheme.

You simply name a chosen chartty- hopefullycoventry C2tGroup! Theirwebsite states you
should receive IO% off online if you join them. as well as IO% off in store. (Correct as of todavs
date- 4151211. Every time you shop. use your VIP card. which can collect Lifelines for us. We
do quite well, and get the vast majority of our wood litter this way. so please rfyou are not
already on the scheme, think of our furries and sign up. they and us, will be most grdteful.
Lookingforward to the future. we are hoping to startworksoon on our Mum and Kitten Unit.
which will help relieve the pressure on our Centre from having to find a separate and quiet area
every time a Mum to be, or a Mum wtth kittens comes in. Our Charity has received a substantial donation towards
this from Brenda Cartwright, who knows how desperately we need this. because there seems to be no such thing
as"kitten season" it is all year round, and rf it is anything like our isolation unit, will be very well used indeed. We
appreciate her generosity towards this so much.
As Government restrictions ease. we are looking forward to welcoming back our socialisers very
gradually by invitation. This will of course depend on how our felines cope with the change5,
and we will be led by them and our Centre Manager and herteam. who I call Di's Earth Angels.
Once again. thankyou all foryour continued help and support. we and the felines, very much
appreciate it, and we couldn't do what we do without you.
