**Objects:** (1) TO PROMOTE MILITARY EFFICIENCY BY (A) THE PROVISION, MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE COLLECTION IN A MUSEUM OR MUSEUMS OR SUCH OTHER PUBLIC PLACE OR PLACES WHICH, IN THE OPINION OF THE TRUSTEES, HAVE SUFFICIENT LINKS TO THE REGIMENT OR THE FORMER REGIMENTS; AND (B) PERPETUATING THE HISTORY AND MILITARY ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE FORMER REGIMENTS; AND (C) ENCOURAGING RECRUITMENT TO THE REGIMENT, AND (2) TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC BY (A) AND (B) AFORESAID

**Activities:** The purpose of The Somerset Military Museum is to collect, document, preserve, display and provide access to material relating to The Somerset Light Infantry and its successor and antecedent regiments including Somerset's Yeomanry, and to use and interpret this material for the education and benefit of members of the public of all ages and backgrounds and those within the Armed Forces.
