Annual General Meetln held Monda tember 2024 All members present signed the attendance record for the meeting. The Chairperson opened the meeting. The minutes of the last annual general meeting were read by the Chairperson. The treasurer read the treasurerfs report. The first item on the agenda was the election of Committee Members. The second item on the agenda was the election of the Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer, The committee members were asked if anyone would like to be elected or re-elected as trustees. Proposed by Seconded by T(XC￿ kn"￿- Retiring committee members were thanked for their contribution and support whilst serving on the committee. The Chairperson read the Annual report for the year to 31" March, 2024, All minutes and accounts for the year to 315t March, 2024 are presented to the committee for Inspection. The charivs accounts and annual report were approved by the trustees, the Chairperson signing on behalf of the Pre-school committee, the Chairperson being authorised to do so by the whole committee.

Durham, DL3 9QG is registered with the Charity Commissioners (No. 1064873) and is constituted bv Deed of Trust. st The Charlty Trustees during the year to 31 March, 2024 were: Chairperson Mrs. Jackie Saint secretary Mr5 Laura Tunstall Treasurer Mrs Kirsten Watson (Resigned March 20241 Other members Mrs Alex Hlrst Mrs Helen Llvingstone Mrs Beth Nlven (Secretary from March 2024) The officers and committee members are elected for one year at the A.G.M. Retiring officers and commlttee members are eligible for re-election unless they have served on the committee in any capaclty for 14 consecutive years. The object of the charity is to enhance the development and education of children prlmarily under statutory school age by encoura8ing parents to understand and provide for the needs of thelr children through community groups and bv.. Offering appropriate play facilities and training courses, tOBether with the rlghts of parents to take responsibility for and become involved in the actlvities of such groups, ensuring that such groups offer opportunities for children, regardless of race, culture, religion or means. b. Encoura8lng the study of the needs of such chlldren and their families and promotlng public interest in and recognition of such needs in local areas. Instlgating and adhering to and furthering the aim of the Early Years Alliance. Seven part-time group leaders staff the charity. During the year approximately 36 children used the pre-school facilities for 38 weeks of the year. The Local Education Authority provided £148736.36 in funding, parental receipts were £10118.60, £17993.96 in other funding and £1456.73in interest. A profit of £15472,45 wa5 shown over the year. The increase in parental receipts wa5 due to the payment of lunches and the increase in other funding wa5 due to SEN fundlng. The Mowden Pre-school Group Charity is a member of the Early Years Alliance and is included in Darlington Borou8h Local Education Authority early years plan.
