TRUSTEES’ ANNUAL REPORT 2024/2025
The trustees are pleased to present the annual report and accounts for the year ended 5'* May 2025
The objectives of the charity are to provide public benefit as follows :

Ongoing research into improving treatment options and outcomes for patients with GI and HPB cancers.

The purchase of new equipment for a whole range of Gi and HPB cancer treatments , including surgery , chemotherapy , immunotherapy and radiotherapy.
The policy of the Trustees is to attract donations and other fundraising income to maintain the Charity’s reserves at a level at least sufficient to meet its commitments to current and planned research projects and equipment purchases.
This year funded projects included :

1) Funding for translational cancer research at the University of Surrey looking at the Microbiome and Immune Response in Pancreatic Cancer (provision of funds for experiments and PhD student projects).

2) Funding for the CITRuS trial , a multicentre National trial examining computerised collection of patient reported outcomes in colorectal cancer patients (provision of salary for trial manager and provision of computer equipment for trial).
The net deficit for the year after funding for the above of £132836 (2024 - £103774)) was £99998 (2024 - £37092) . The remaining reserves are sufficient to fund the balance of expenditure to completion of outstanding projects.
