## MOORSIDE WETLAND TRUST

As the three original trustees of the Charity are not getting any younger it was decided to recruit three additional younger trustees who are willing to work with the original trustees to ensure the continued successful running of the Charity. This process was carried out during the summer and the three new trustees were appointed.
The maintenance work that was on going to the exterior of the properties was completed by the end of December 2024. This had been delayed due to the weather as reported last year.
The land surrounding the properties owned by the Charity has again been grazed during the summer months with animals from Millers Ark Hook (a registered Charity).
Again all movements of animals has been carried out to meet all current regulations.
General maintenance has been carried out on the land with some areas being cleared. Heathland Management Services a regulated company have been contracted to.carry out the cutting down of Brambles and Bracken around the perimeter of the fields.

Regular checks were carried out on all perimeter fencing and gates and all necessary repairs carried out.
The three new trustees were given a tour of the land and properties to familiarise themselves with the extent of the undertaking and responsibilities they were undertaking by agreeing to become a trustee.
The heating systems in both properties were serviced and Landlords Gas Certificates issued by a Gas Registered heating contractor.
The main bathroom in Moorside 2 was modernised with the bath and wail tiles being removed and a new shower tray and screen replacing it. A new shower was also installed and new waterproof wall boarding used instead of tiling.
An inspection of the main bathroom in Moorside 1 has been carried out to see if a larger shower can be installed and also work to the airing cupboard and megaflow tank. Quotations are being obtained for the work.
