TRUSTEES ANNUAL REPORT
MOORSIDE WETLAND TRUST

The Tennant In l Moorglde approached the trLtstees about carrying out some
decorating work in various rooms in the property as they had a decorator they
knew who could carry out the work. A meeting was held when it was agreed
that the work could be carried out with the Tennant paying half of the cost and
the Trust paying the other half. The work was carried out in November and
December 2023.
A new carpet was laid in the Hall Staircase and first floor landing of the
property once the decorating was finished.
The Tenant in 2 Moor5ide handed in his notice and moved out in March 2024.
The property was advertised through our letting agent and the property was
let in April 2024.
The land surrounding the properties owned by the Charity has again been
grazed du.ring the summer months with animals from Millers Ark Hook ( a
registered Charity )
Again all movements of animals has been carried out to meet all current
regulations.

General maintenance has been carried out on the land with some areas being
cleared. Bracken and Rhododendron spraying has been carried out by
Heathland Management services a regulated company.
Regular check5 were carried out on all perimeter fencing and gates and all
necessary repairs carried out.
The hedge along the front of the properties was reduced in height and width
and a large area of brambles inside the gate was removed.
The heating systems in both properties were serviced and Landlords Gas
Certificates issued buy a Gas registered heating contractor. The system in I
Moorside had a complete power flush with new control valves and other parts
installed.
An inspection of the exterior of both properties was carried out by the trustees
in June when any maintenance work that was required to be carried out was
identif led. A schedule of work identified was prepared and estimates for the
work were obtained in July. The work commenced in August when scaffolding
was erected. The contractor undertaking the work had carried out work on the
properties before. Due to the nature of the work and the amount of rain we
have had since the work commenced it is still ongoing.
