The Charity is registered with the Charity Commission number 1064624. Management Commlttee A Management Committee of Officers and members is elected every year by the members at the Annual General Meeting. THE CHELMSFORD AND WEST ESSEX TRAINING GROUP Notes to the Accounts for the Year ended 30 June 2024 Accounting Policies The Trustees have decided to simplrfy the accounting procedures and the accounts are now prepared on a receipts and payments basis. Depreclation The Charty does not account for depreciation, as the costs of the few assets which it holds are written off as expenditure in the year of purchase. Purchases of fixed assets in the year were £nil. Trustse8' Remuneration and Expen808 The Treasurer and the Secretsry were the only Trustees to be paid for services rendered to the Charty. In the case of the Secretary, the remuneration includes for services rendered as Training Officer and for conducting courses in agronomy. Their aggregate remuneration in the year was £28,260 (2023- £26.485). Two Trustees received reimbursernent for reasonable and proper expenses incurred on business for the Charity. The aggregate expenses incurred were £7,699 (2023- £5,502) and related to mileage, postage, stationery, telephone and other office costs. Other Costs Other costs in the year amounted to £1,849 {202> £2,072) and comprised mainly the cost of assessment fees to BASIS and other training organisations, and insurance premiums. Paoe 5

Responsibilities and basis of report: The Charity's Trustees of the Trust are responsible for the preparatlon of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (the Charities Act) I report in respect of my examination of the Trust's aco)unts carried oul under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carying out my examination I have followed all the applicable directions given by the Charities Commission under the section 145 (5) (b) of the Act. Independent Examinerfs statement: I have completed my examination. I confimi that no material matters have corne to my attenb'on in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect: 1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the &t; 2. the accounts do not accord with those records. I have no ncernS and have come across no other matters In connection with the examinats'on to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be 8¢hed.
