**model British Shia muslim by organising and promoting**

Provide an environment that educates, informs and inspires the learning, reading and recitation of the Holy Quran. 4. Create a friendly and interactive environment of integration for Non-muslims and reverts. 5. Instill awareness of Islamic history and sites including Ziyarats, Hajj, Umrah and Educational site visits. 6. Campaign for charitable causes and promote the true spirit of Islam. 7. Organise and work in partnership with other organisations to ensure alignment and unity on teachings of Maasumeen. 8. Provide support to enhance the empowerment of Shia Women. 9. Promote and work with the community to raise awareness and spread the message of Imam Hussain (a.s). 10. Provide academic and social activities to the community throughout the year. 11. Cater for other social and religious events for the local shia community 12. Provide services for community as a model centre.** ## **Achievements and Performance** |Summary of the main

**The charity completed a number of Community based**
**projects targeting and serving the needs of the youth**
**especially including the provision of educational,**
**religious, social and leisure services. examples include**
**after school tuition, self-defence classes and mentoring**
**programmes.**
**Our food bank continued to provide support to**
**vulnerable and rough sleeping people in South London**
**through the provision of a weekly soup kitchen. It has**
**served more than 50,000 meals to people in and at risk**
**of homelessness, working closely with Croydon Council's**| |---|---| Page **2** of **10** 1064042 **Housing and Rough Sleepers Team, Prison's and Hospital Emergency Discharge Teams. We continue to also work closely with Fareshare (supermarkets like Tesco, Waitrose etc), CVA, other Charities (inc Sutton Nightwatch, Shelter and SPEAR) and local Organisations. The charity received appreciation from local MP (Steve Reed) and Councillor - Leila Ben Hassel, for the services towards humanity. We were also appointed by Waitrose, as their local charity for food distribution. This financial year we continued to provide educational services to the community in terms of successfully providing both secular and religious programmes, events and classroom based courses. The variety of projects have continued to be funded by additional private donations to cover the cost of providing these services. We organised and delivered more than 150 events/workshops/majlis/tributes etc during the period.
