Fair vulue mell&uremenl The best evidence of fair value is a quoted price for an ideniical asset in an active market. When quoted price5 are unavailable, Ihe price of a recent transaction for an identical assei provides evidence of fair value as longF as there has not been a sigynificant change in econom ic circumstances or a signilicani lapse of time since the transaction took place.
