Hastings Shopmobility is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation under Part 11 of the
Charities Act 2011.
Objectlves and Actlvltles
The Trustees have had regard to the guidance issued by the Charity Commission on public
benefit.
The objectlve of Shopmobility is to provide mobility aids for hire to those who need them at
minimum cost. During the year to 318t March 2024, the charity continued to provide this
service. One part-time office manager and a team of five unpaid volunteers carry out
administrative tasks and assist customers.

During the financial year, John Eldred, a long-serving Trustee of Hastings Shopmobility,
retired from his trusteeship. The remaining trustees thank John for his dedicated service of
many years and wish him a happy retirement.
Achlevements In 2024-2025
Shopmobility has continued to fulfil its objectives and continued to provide its services to
those who needed them. Due to increased Gosts, the charity found it necessary to increase
its charges for all categories of hire.
Flnanclal Revlew 2024-2025
The flnancial accounts for Hastlngs Shopmobility for the financial year 2024-2025 reveal a
decline in both receipts and net funds compared to the previous year. This is attributed to the
receipt of funds in the financial year 2023-2024 of grant funding for two years and shows that
approximately half of the grant has been utilised.
Equipment hire income fell from £10,523 to £8,308. Since the hire of mobility equipment is
seasonal, the reduced hire income could be due to wet weather from July and through the
peak holiday period.
Loans from individuals of £3,000 received the previous year were repaid in full.

to sustain the charitys activities.
