Para 1.17 | Our overarching aim is to support families and veterans of the 7th Armoured Division, plus 4th and 7th Armoured Brigades (and their descendants) and to ensure their history is not a thing of the past and to educate future generations on the legacy of the British 7th Armoured Division, who fought in the North African Campaign and later Italy and North- West Europe during the 1940s conflict and conflicts ever since. This year we have had an additional aim to place a permanent Memorial for all Desert Rats (7th Armoured Division, 4th and 7th Armoured Brigades, and their descendants), past, present or future at the National Memorial Arboretum, Staffordshire. This has been the focus of our fund-raising effort for this year. |

Para 1.20 | The charity’s main focus has continued to on fund raising for the National Memorial Arboretum project, which will provide a National point of remembrance for the Nation for the future. This is a long-term project due for completion in late 2022. Regular services of Remembrance have been held and assistance with tracing veteran’s service history and personal stories has been continued. |
