The Trustees present their annual report and accounts for the year ended 5 April 2022. The accounts comply with the Charity's Trust Deed and applicable law. 

## Trustees 

The Trustees who have served throughout the financial year, unless otherwise stated, were:

The power of appointment and removal of Trustees shall be vested in the existing trustees. 

There were no payments to trustees in the year to 5 April 2022 (5 April 2021 £nil). 

## Governing document 

The governing document is the original settlement deed dated 22 February 1997. 

## Reserves policy 

The trustees believe that the current level of reserves of cash £108,018 (2021: £149,327) are sufficient for current purposes. The cash reserves are reviewed on a regular basis. 

## Objectives 

The object of the Foundation is to apply its income to assist children to receive high calibre educational training and to provide appropriate facilities. Additionally, help is given for the provision of facilities for needy elderly persons as well as children. Further, support is provided for the maintenance of heritage and listed buildings in the environment.The trustees have determined that the benefit of their giving shall be applied principally in the Gloucestershire and Somerset area. 

## Related parties 

The Trustees are related parties by way of close family relationships. 

The Trustees have a written policy in place setting out conflicts of interest and how they will be managed. 

## Review of acheivements and further developments 

The Receipts and Payments account shows that during the year the Trustees donated £264,100 for relevant charitable purposes. This represents 118% of the net income for the year. 

## Risk management 

The Trustees have assessed the major risks to which the Charity is exposed, in particular those related to the return on investments, and are satisfied that systems are in place to mitigate their exposure to major risks.

## Public benefit 

The Trustees confirm that they have referred to the Charity Commission's general guidance on public benefit when reviewing the Charity's aims and objectives and setting it's grant making policies. The Trustees regularly receive donation requests which are considered periodically throughout the year. 

## Trustees' responsibilities in relation to the accounts 

Charity law requires the Trustees to prepare accounts for each financial year that give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the income and expenditure of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the Trustees are required to: 

- Select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently; 

- Observe the methods and principles in the Charities SORP; 

- Make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent; 

- State whether applicable accounting standards have been followed, subject to any material departures disclosed and explained in the financial statements; - Prepare the accounts on the going concern basis unless is it inappropriate to presume that the charity will continue 

The Trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records that disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the accounts comply with the Charities Act 2011, the Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2008 and the provisions of the trust deed. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.

My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission. An examination includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a
comparison of the accounts presented Kmlh those record5. It also includes consideration of any unusual
items or disclosures in the accounts. and seeking explanations from you as trust￿ concerning any such
matter5. The pr(￿edUreS urKlertaken do not provide all the evidence that wouLd be reqU￿red in an audit
and consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a Irue and fair view. and tho
