has long been the objective of the comF￿Y to apply reserves for the d¢veloprnent of additional services
for th¢ bencflt of peopl¢ with Le￿)Ing Disthiliti&8 rrsiding in thc Borough of Solihuil.
During the latter nK)nths of 2018 the Company wa5 approaehtd by Olton Gr4n8¢ LÉmitryL a Registe￿d Charity
that had. for a n￿nber of decth, been providing eaTe and accornrn0￿I0n to elderly ¢itizeTh8 in their Re8i5t¢red
Residential Care Home at 84 Warwick RoAd Oltoft Solihull B92 7JJ.
The Hom¢ was Re8tst¢red for a m&xirnwn of 25 o¢¢upants: a number of the bedroom5 h&1 been provided wtth
eTrsuites however the remaining bedrooms were small to allow this and also fell WAY E¢low th¢ spatial
5tandard$ thai are now requirtdlexpe¢t¢d. Corridors ¢onnec¢in8 bcdrooms were v¢ry narrow on multi levels
nd th¢ premis¢& in their ¢urr¢nt laytyJ4 w8$ considered no longer fil for PUTpose to provide a¢¢ommodation for
Incre￿inglY frail residents. conSeq￿ndY the Home found it incr￿Ing[Y diffi¢uli to fLII voids and, for at least
the 12 month peri¢NJ precedin8 closuT4 the Home had been op￿￿1￿8 with n￿re than 30% of th¢ b¢droom8
vficllnt resulting in a critical reduaion in inwmc and md¢rin8 the Company no lon8er fmancially vi8ble.
