These were amended by a sp¢¢ial resolution on the 20th Febrnary 1979 and then replaced by new grti¢les of associgtion, passed al the annual general meeting held on the 4th March 2019. The company has no share ¢apiial and is limited by guarane. On the 10th June 1997. The sIety of PlOughM wa5 accepted as a registered charity. In accordance with the anicles of aslatiOn. the directors of the stKiety shall hold their office for 3 years from the dale of their appointsneni, at which time they shall offer their retirement of their office at the next scheduled annual meeting. Ai each subsequeni annual general meeting one third of the directors MUU offer their yctiremenl from office. ObJe¢tlves & adivities The charity's two main objectives are PTomoting and en¢owaging the arL skill and science of ploughing the land and lo promote the annual British Plougkn'ng Championship to be held in GT¢al Britain. The cha)ity is principally responsible for the organisation and manag¢m¢ni of the British National Ploughing Championships and for managing England's World & European Ploughing Teams. With more than 200 local ploughing societies affjliated to it 2nd a membership drawn from ploughmen and women from all over the world, the Society is a vibranL thriving organisation and on influential member of the World & European Vloughing i>rggnisatsons. Achievements & perfornignee The high poini of the Complt10n pl(wghing season each year is th¢ British Naiional Ploughing Championships. This year. our 74th evenL was held on the 11th & 12ih of October 2025 at Allesley, Coventry by kind perniission of the Brandr¢th family & The SirThomas White Thi. Despite the fog which made viewing the competitions very diffjcult, the event was a success and enjoyed by all who attended. Internaiional compeuiions - The 2025 World Ploughing Contest was held in Prdgue, Czech Republic. The 2025 European Reversible Ploughing Championships was held Retford, England & 2025 European Vintsge PIou8hing Championships wa5 a]50 held in Retford. England. In order io meet the costs of running the British National Ploughing Championships. the Society raises in¢om¢ in a variety of way5. These include entry fee5 to competitions, annual donation5 & sponsorship. working demon$tiOnS & trade siands. Th¢ So¢i¢ty adds io this by rdising additional money through sale of souvenirs, raffles & tombol& Financlal review A summary of the results of the ye*5 activities is given on pag¢ 5-16 of the accounis.
