THE LIVING HOPE CHURCH
Trustees Annual Report for 2021
The principal activity of the Church throughout the year was the advancement of the Christian faith.
Again this year, due to Covid restrictions, we were unable to meet in the Memorial Hall, as this was use for Covid vaccinations. In May, as soon as we were able, we met as a Church in Pastor Tim's house each Sunday to worship the Lord and for fellowship. We have continued with our daily readings and monthly themed topics from The Truths of the Faith series which have kept us connected to each other and to God's word. As last year, we will continue in this current situation into the New Year.
The hourly rate for ministry and teaching to the Church for Pastor Tim was increased, with effect from the 1[st] April.
The decision to continue to use BrightPay was made in April with the purchase of an Annual Licence Key of £58.80.
We have continued to support Christian organisations both in this country and abroad, with our monthly standing orders payable to:
Kevin Westfield – Christian worker with Next Level International - Mission Europe Paul & Cathy Middleton – Christian workers with Mercy Air, South Africa The Christian Institute
Christian Concern
SAT-7 - Christian TV run by & for the Middle East and North Africa
(for the relief of poverty, education, justice, medical assistance, and missions)
It was decided to set up a monthly standing order for both the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC), and Release International (Voice of Persecuted Christians) of £60 each to take effect from 16[th] July.
In addition £250 was sent to them straight away, and also to Paul and Cathy Middleton (Mercy Air), The Christian Institute, Christian Concern and Sat -7, £1,500.00 in total.
In November we sent £500 to both SAT 7, Release International and Christian Concern, to benefit their various ministries.
In order to make our accounting easier, it was agreed to ask that individual tithes be given electronically on the 5[th] of each month, starting from January 2022, rather than the 1[st] , as at present.
The monthly standing order payable to Kevin Westfield will cease in December 2021. He has been informed of this.
We have ensured that the decisions we have made throughout the year has enabled the Christian message to be expressed in its various forms.
