Communlty Actlon Romania (CAR) 1062573 Trustees Annual Report for the year ended 31st December 2020 The maln activltles of CAR, i.e. providing relief to peop￿ In extreme diffltulties. and the extenslon of the Christlan message in Romania. have contlnued through 2020. These acttvities were effected through CAR'S counterpart. Pro Comrnunity Rornan5a IPCR), which is a Romanian charity managin8 the aid In Romania. Regrettab￿ because of travel restrictions under Covld-19 only two visits to Romania were undertaken by trustees. but regular communicatlon was maintslned via What&4pp to encourage, support and obserye our counterparts IPCRI. The Romanian team also attended the three trustee meetin8s Zoom to forn)ally repcKt on pro8ress. In line with Charity Commi551on advke the charlty has Increased rts reserves from 3 months, operational costs to 6 months.: fortunately thls dld not have a ne8ative Impact on the workln85 of the charity. 2020 has been regarded as unprecedented by many and the same Is true In RomanSa. Several tlmes the communFty was in very strirt lock down. and there wa5 a relurtance by the populatlon to be tested as this meant automatic a55ignment to hospltsl. Schools have been meeting most of the time but have also had considerable periods bein8 closed with children home schooled. There were a number of deaths In the village. All things considered it is remarkable what was achieved: With both schools havln8 to mer8e into one bulldlng and t￿ate extra dassrooms as consequence of c￿1￿ restrictlons, we had to buy another 2 whitek￿rdS plus another whiteboard Sticker. In additlon we supplied new educattonal supplies. and the children In the kindergèrten wlth theSr exerclse and workbooks. The church was equipped wtth new computer and anclllary equlpment so that they could live stream senrflces via Facebook. In the month of December over I3,￿) people connected with the stream. includlng both people in Romania and overseas. This is truly remarkable and has required a lot of hard work frcrfn the team. In addltlon we were able to purchase an illuminated sign that provldes detsils to the community of actviitses. Work wlth the youth and ladies has continued althou8h because of restr1rtSons tt ha5 been more intemittent. Desplte travel restrictions the team has provided food ald and compassion to over 34 families each month. A hot mea15 service was also coMMen￿d to a few lool people in need few days each week. Using the tractor and funding from the charity we were able to Sup￿ wtsxl to the church and a number of familie5 in need. Contribution to medlcal expenses for those in r￿ed. While it was not possible to undertake a Christmas meal for the isolated and poor in the communlty, exira food was provided to each family. and the ￿t￿ of the church delivered presents to all the children of the village. A benevolent fund for use of the team in Romania In emergency situation5 to provide essential aid. Frequently the team last year faced u￿ent medical requests and on occasions were called upon to transport people needirvd to reach hospitsl or dortors.

Direct support to fund Pastor Daniel, Vetuta. Danny and Sarah to be able to support the ¢hurch and community full tlrne. We are onty able to continue this work thanksto our partners Pro Communlty Romania and their unfailing efforts. We are always thankful for our and dOr￿rS, many of whom have 5UPPOrted the charity over many years. Whlle It seems harder for us to ralse funds than It used to be, our small charity continues to be blessed and our receipts were up slightly on the previous year. We were able to clalm over £4,IXrf) of gift aid tsx recovery. A5 a result our bank balances remain stsble. It is worth noting that administration costs remain low, this year at a level less than 3% of totsl Payments. and Is more than covered by 8ift aid. This means that every penny we receive goes directly to the good causes. The trustees Annual Report and Accounts were approved bythe trustees And slgned on thelr behalf by.. N Edwards- Chalrman
