Tha Trustees present thelr ￿port and Ihe financlal statements of the Charity for the year ended 28
February 2025. The Tw5tees have a(lopted ihe provtstons oflhe Statement of Recommended Practice
(SORP) -Accounling and Reporting by Ch3rilies- in preparing Ihe Annual Report and financial
stalernents of the Charity.
Theftnancial Statements have been preparad In accordan￿ wlth the Charltles Act 2011 and Accounllng
and Reporting by Charities: Ststement of Recommended Practlce appliGable to charltie5 preparing their
accounts in accordance wlth the Financial Reportin9 Standard appllcable In the UK and Republic of
Ireland published in October 2019.
Activltles and charitable objectives

public at larg8 by registering, monitoring and exhibiling Zwaribles sheep and Investigatsng and

The Zwartblas Sheep Assoclali¢)n (ZSA) yearbook Is produced annually. This publkcallon Indudes the
present members, details. the breed standards and arb"c18s of interest and general infommtion, as well
as the AssociatiDn Rules. The Associabon website also contsins infDm)ation abDUt Zwartbles sheep.
Publlc Bgnefft
The Trust88s consider they have complied viilh their duty to have due regard to the guidance on public
bgnefrt a5 published by the Charity Cornrnission, in exercising iheir power5 and duttes.
Achievements and perfornianca
The Council hefvs Iwo council melings in ihe financial year which were held in person. Thè AEsocia1Son
continues lo encour3g8 classes at major shows. Th8 Royal Ulster Agri¢xllural Show, Th6 Royal Welsh,
rhè Grèal Yorkshire. Thè Roya Highland. The Royal Bath and Wesl and other selected A9ricullural
shows. The exhibition stand5 wenl lo three NSA sheep events. North Sheep. South Wesl Sheep and
Sheep. The Association did not hold any open days. Sales of Zwartbles sheep were hele(I
successfvlly at Carr￿le, Worcester and Northern Ireland.
Flnanclal review
The nel loss for th8 year amounted lo £812 {2024: profil of £88) which has baBn added to the reserves
broughl (onvard leaving fund balances of £111.036 at lh8 year end. The Trustees consid8r the r8suIts
lo be sab"sfactory.
Reserves pollcy
Tha Assoclation aims to hold financial reserves that cover one and a half year's operating expendilure.
On 28 February 2025 the Associallon held free res8Nes amounb'ng to £111.036.

The Assocjatson is a Charltable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), and Is governed by Its constitution.
The Association was registered as a Charity on 12 May 1997 (No: 1062319).
Reeruitment and appointmont of the Council
The Zwartbles Sheep Assoctation is njn by th8 Council. All Counckl members are also Truslees of the
Charity- Trusie95 are appoirblod at the Annual General Meebng and retire by rotstion after three years.

The Zwartbles Sheep Associalion is a charilable incorporated organisation (CIO) in England
and Wales. The operallonal address Is gwen in the Charity infoTTnation on page 1 of these
tlnancial ststemenls. The nature ol the Charity's operalions and prfnapal activities are stated
on pages 2-3.
The Charity constilmles a public benefit 8ntity as dellned by FRS 102. The financial statemenls
ave been prepared In 8CCOfdance wilh Accounting and Reportlng by Charltses.. Stalemenl of
Re¢ommended Practlce applicable lo charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Slandard appllcable in Ihe UK and Republlc Of Ireland IFRS 102) issuecl In
October 2019, the Fiftancial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland
