and home learning experiences to children
and their families throughout the Covid 19
pandemic. During the first lockdown, from
March to September, the preschool was
closed, as we did not have children of critical
workers or vulnerable children. We
continued to offer support and home learning
ideas for our families during this time.
We re-opened in September 2020 with a
small number of children as parent's
confidence during the pandemic severely
affected attendance. We remained open
during the further lockdown in January with a
very small group, as many parents decided
to keep their children home as schools were
closed. We maintained contact with our
families at this time, offering support and
home learning ideas and activities.
We have worked hard to uphold the
principles of the Hampshire Healthy Early
Years accreditation which we achieved
previously. We continue to be part of the
ongoing 'Saving Smiles' program which
promotes good oral health.
We are constantly striving to provide the
very best start for our children and their
families. We help parents who may be
struggling to access services by offering
support and encouragement. When our
children leave us for 'big' school as confident
young learners ready to take on the next big
challenge in their lives we feel we have
made a positive contribution to their future
