## Chair’s Report

The PTA plays a very important role within school life. We aim to organise lots of events and activities both in school and after school for the children, families and staff. The purpose of these is to enhance the school community relationships, raise vital funds for the school to enable them to provide activities and equipment to enrich the students' experience whilst they are at HAS. With school budgets becoming even tighter the school needs the PTA support more now than ever.

successful, raising £6,071, while the Summer Fair contributed £3,296. These efforts were further enhanced by over £1,000 in matched funding from employers.

We were also extremely fortunate to receive £9,500 in generous donations from two employers during the year.

In addition, ongoing fundraising initiatives such as Easyfundraising, Your School Lottery, Happy School Bags, and Uniform Sales generated a further £2,808.

Gifts to the school this year totalled £1,248, which included contributions towards the Year 6 first aid sessions and Pantomime coach transport.

At year-end, the PTA’s funds stood at £31,088. We therefore propose that £26,000 be made available to support the school in the coming year.

Hutton All Saints’ School PTA Trustees Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31[st] August 2025

## Accounting Policies

## Basis of Preparation

The financial statements have been prepared in line with the guidance issued under the Statement of Recommended Practice, Accounting, and Reporting by Charities (the Charities SORP 2005) by the Charity Commission.

## Financial Reserves

Unrestricted funds are needed to provide funds which can be designated to specific projects, to enable these projects to be undertaken at short notice and to cover administrative fundraising and support costs, without which the PTA could not function.

Unrestricted funds are funds which are available for use at the consideration of the trustees in the pursuit of the aims of the charity and which have not been restricted for other purposes. Restricted funds are funds, which are to be specifically used in accordance with any conditions, imposed by donors, or have been fund-raised for an express purpose.

The trustees consider it prudent that unrestricted reserves should be sufficient to cover one year’s administrative fundraising and support costs and to provide a pool to cover the regular charitable expenditure over the preceding two years, from which funds can be designated to specific projects. When considering the reserves, the trustees take into account possible fluctuations in future income and expenditure. As at August 31st 2025, the level of reserves was £31,088.76.

## Income received during the year

All income received by the charity during the year is disclosed in the accounts. No amounts are included in the accounts for any services donated by the volunteers.

## Expenditure incurred during the year

All expenditure incurred by the charity during the year is disclosed in the accounts and has been allocated under various descriptions relating to the activity concerned.

## Payments or benefits to Trustees

No remuneration or other benefits have been paid to any trustees of the charity.

Hutton All Saints’ School PTA Trustees Annual Report and Accounts for the year ended 31[st] August 2025

## Independent Examiner’s Report

The charity's gross income has exceeded £25,000 and therefore an audit or independent examination of the accounts is required. As the gross income is less than £1 million an independent examination suffices the requirements of the Charity Commission.

## Independent examiner’s report to the trustees of Hutton All Saints PTA

I report to the trustees on my examination of the accounts of Hutton All Saints PTA for the year ended 31 August 2025.

## Responsibilities and basis of report

As the charity trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Charities Act 2011 (‘the Act’).

I report in respect of my examination of the accounts carried out under section 145 of the 2011 Act and in carrying out my examination I have followed all the applicable Directions given by the Charity Commission under section 145(5)(b) of the Act.

## Independent examiner’s statement

I have completed my examination. I confirm that no material matters have come to my attention in connection with the examination giving me cause to believe that in any material respect:

1. accounting records were not kept in respect of the Trust as required by section 130 of the Act;

or

2. the accounts do not accord with those records.

I have no concerns and have come across no other matters in connection with the examination to which attention should be drawn in this report in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
